Best sorceress type for dark elf (morathi) ?
All in the title, not sure wich one to take, any advice ?

She already has one of the best Vortex-spells IMO ... controllable, non-moving, high-AP-damage; can be cast on walls o_O

I personally like shadow as my go-to magic, if available - because of the vortex & Pendulum wrecks (specially if you have flying sorcerer/sorceress and do not take artillery...so everything is pretty lined up...). Shadow is only weak against lizard & greenskins, cause of their wide-spread formation; so pendulum doesn't really work well - only if engaged.
Else it does have all the utilities I need: magic damage for my troops, major-lord-debuff, AoE damage-debuff.

Vampire & Skaven are out of question, because their unique lore is >> all.

Comes down on how you play in the end; haven't tried Dark magic for quite some time...looks good on paper, though.

edit: I find Beast situational as well and got it to work only with BM; but their unique lore is better in any way.
I have a metal-caster in my chaos campaign, though ^^ .. it's similar 'unique' and works only with a certain setup or just to melt stuff; like Gelt :>

Hydras already have regen. They do fine without a life mage
No one said they didn't do fine. But with a Life mage they'd be hilariously OP.

eh they already have regen + another takes its place a life mage would just make it so they reach there healing cap even faster than they already do

Morathi with her regen item and soulstealer is a beast

Morathi does not need another mage, especially if she is levelled. However, Pit of Shades is literally one of the best spells (top 6) in the game. That is all you need.
