To name a few:
Explosive Squigg
Armoured Squigg
Bouncy Squigg
Winds of Magic Squigg
Cold / Hot Squigs
Venomous Squiggs
and probably my favorite. The GIANT sized Colossal Squigg.
Skarsniks squigg 'Gobbla' was supposed to be as it is in the lore, Colossal. Atleast 3/4 times bigger than a regular squig.
None of them have howdahs, as far as I can tell. You mgiht be thinking of the Arachnarox spider.
With that said, there's tons of different squigs.
The basic Cave Squig
Great Cave Squig (a squig the size of a warhorse)
Colossal Squig (a squig the size of a giant or varghulf)
Mangler Squigs (Basically two great cave squigs chained together as a sort of bola wrecking ball).
Horned, spiked, gas etc. squigs (also see Thorgrim's list a few posts up).
Skarsnik had two squigs of special mention - Gobbla and The Big Red 'Un, which was a colossal cave squig. (The source of that is the end times, so not the most reliable source).
Anyway, yeah I wouldn't object to more squiggage.
I might have been thinking of the 40k ones, yeah. But then I found this, could this work?

(behind the giants)
I did some reasearch. That is a model for a 40k squiggoth used in a warhammer fantasy battle report in white wolf magazine. The guy making the report had converted a 40k squiggoth to a 'squigadon' - which he made up on the spot -using the rules for a stegadon or something. I believe it uses a mammoth howdah on a squiggoth base.
On a side note, while looking for that I also came across spider-legged squigs, squigpipes (squigs that can be used as bagpipes - while alive) and lots of other weird stuff.
I love warhammer. It's such a lovely mix of weird and silly with epic and grim.
Considering Bloodbowl is canon in the warhammer universe, and it has halflings, I wouldn't say its too 'silly'.
Beastmen playing rugby vs Empire ? That actually exists in Fantasy Warhammer.
