Before you play Bretonnia, read up on How lords level up -they have quest lines that must be done before they can recruit the next tier of units. Gotta know that.
I think Bretonnia is the worst thing in video games. I'd be curious to hear if you enjoy the campaign.
I'll let you know if I like it lad
In Mortal Empires if you start as Louen, Alberic or the Fay Enchantress, you start getting a public order penalty at turn 2 for twenty turns with the explanation being that your lands are being attacked by Greenskins. You lose a lot of Public Order per turn unless you raze or sack a Greenskin town (which there will be some nearby) so its not an issue if you get to it right away and murder those nearby orcs.
Thanks anyway for your advices guys, I appreciate it.
Cheers!
The upside is that you can easily smash these rebels every three turns or so if you don't garrison the city. This gets you experience and a bunch of chivalry, also helps with relations with anyone who hates Greenskins.
It does tie up your army though.
Louen is overall good, but you will have to deal with some annoying norsca people in the beginning. Try getting Marienburg, realm knights and start confederating asap.
Alberic and Fay enchantress are great in long-term, especially the former (I like magician lords, they are fun to play). There are some orks, undead and woodies to deal with and interesting diplomatic choices.
The only one I haven´t play is Repanse, but I definitely will some day. Looks awesome.
And they have a GREAT economy system. Go for farms and take care of that peasants; use industry just in places where you think you will have to defend.
Unchivalrous knave. >:(
Repanse is a great campaign if you want to bully tomb kings and lizardmen with your questing knights spam and trebuchets. Brettonia are pretty limited though, all you're really ever gonna do is build farms everywhere whilst waiting to transition from Knights of the Realm to Hippogryph Knights.
Side note: I didn't noticed they'd given Blessed Trebuchets the "no friendly fire" trait until I'd already gotten to the end of the campaign. So many missed opportunities. :c
Didnt know about the trebuchet as well, nice!
