Dragging out VC campaign by buying lords with infamy?

I'm already second on the infamy scoreboard and I feel like I've barely seen the campaign... So is buying these lords from the techtree a way to drag out the game some more? Do I get it right?

no, the Vampirate campaign is just ludicrously speedy by comparison; not sure if this is truly intentional or just CA's seeming lack of a QA and testing department

You get infamy from doing stuff + for coves that are easy to spam out. While resourse for the rituals tick slow each turn and unless you are steamrolling eveyone and finding ritual sites, will progress slow. Except for lothern whom seems to just sprint ahead every game. You can continue the game after you finished the final battles of im not misstaken, but yes buying lords would delay the pirates.

Yes, you will delay the victory condition and the infamous pirate spawns by spending the infamy.

If your still on the normal live version the beta has a few changes to slow it down a little.

Yeah, Aranessa Saltspite is the only campaign i finished still. Dident capture any settlement, just raided and sacked. I lose intrest after turn 100 doing the regular vortex campaign.
