Then just follow this. Where is the problem? This game isn't as complex as it looks at first, so learning by doing applies here pretty much the same as to a shooter game, where you just run into open field and get your head blown away without any idea what the hell happened. There are no tutorials in existence to save you from newbie failures.
If you were to start with Karl Franz, he's boring, but easy enough to learn.
You start with a lord, Karl Franz, leading a small army, every army needs a lord,
You also have a Capital City, Altdorf, in the Reikland Province, there are three other towns in the province.
Your goal is essentially world domination.
You build various buildings in your towns and cities, these generate wealth, unlock units for recrutment, or give other advantages.
You recruit more lords to lead more armies and destroy the enemy armies and conquer their cities.
It has some stages battles and also clearly describes what each thing on your UI is for. After the first three turns like this, it leaves you to do quests or whatever you like.
Don’t be afraid of screwing up. I probably restarted three of r four campaigns when I was first learning and realized that I had made a big mistake.
Also, add one of us veterans to ask for help or watch us play one evening. That would help you a lot.
