Festag patch Honest steel

Greatswords no longer get the melee attack from honest steel. I dont want to be that guy but was that really neccessary? They are rough around the edges as a campaign unit as it is but now i dont know if they will still preform in combat.

They get most of it back from the veterancy skill, and the significantly higher weapon strength and physical resistance means T7+ Greatswords are better now than they were pre-patch. Low-level greatswords are worse though, I would agree with that.

The big issue for me is that Honest Steel was such a nice skill to invest in because it gave you a nice boost early in the campaign, and continued to be useful much later. It still kinda is, since it still benefits Halberdiers... still feels bad though.

Honest steel didn't apply to greatswords back in WH1 either, giving it to gswords in WH2 and nerfing it was one of the worst balancing decisions CA made imo.
