Why is it called Age of Sigmar?
Was just watching a few videos on the events after the End Times. Still don´t get why the next "chapter" is called Age of Sigmar.

Because Space Dragon created it after Sigmar's imagination.
From what i heard, sigmar grabbed a bunch of survivors from fantasy, escaped with them, made a new world and then put them there as gods

Yeah, an extremely weird way of continuing what was deemed to be destroyed. I would perhaps just have had Teclis survive and create some sort of timewarp to go back in time and undo Mannfred´s betrayal. Farfetched but more believable than the whole Sigmar story.

I think time reversal is beyond Teclic. Maybe not Lord Kroak though. That toad can do anything, even reversing his death state after millenia of not realizing he died.

Not going to happen, fantasy is dead, Age of Sigmar will keep going so they can sell new stuff. My interest for this setting will die once total war moves to new games.

Because they predicted it would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and wanted the name of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be easily fixed by using its proper title,

Age of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lol, cmon, people give him an answer.

The official lore is that Chaos won the End Times. The earth was destroyed, but Sigmar, the founder of the empire (who had arrived right before the world ended) survived.

He created a pantheon of gods out of the survivors of the old world; Tyrion, Teclis, Grimnir, Malekith, Gork and Mork (now known as Gorkamorka), and, most importantly, Nagash. This Pantheon of Order remade civilization on the Eight Mortal Realms, each of which was the incarnate of one of the winds of magic. This era, one of peace and prosperity, is known as the Age of Myth.

Then, millenia later, Chaos struck again. Sigmar withdrew to the Realm of Heaven and sealed it away. The other seven were overun. That was the Age of Chaos - Nagash fighting in the Realm of Death, Gorkamorka in the Realm of Beasts and scattered resistance elsewhere.

But Sigmar wasnt just hiding; he was building up an army. As the player driven story begins, Sigmar is luanching a massive counterattack with his new weapon: the demigod Stormcast Eternals. The Age of Chaos is over... this is the Age of Sigmar!

It's called Age of Sigmar, because it started with Sigmar, though. The franchise didn't start as "Age of Myth" did it?

That's some 10/10 fanfiction

Doesn't sound any worse than most popular fantasy settings. Actually, sounds kinda kewl.

It actually didn't start with sigmar.

The whole "Sigmar made the realms with a dragon" is just made up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spread at launch.

The realms were created in the same way our universe was created. Matter and crystalized magic gathered and clustered and began making the realms. Sigmar found the realms being a thing already.

Oh, so we get to pick and choose which bits of lore are canon?
Good!
If it wasn't created by Sigmar, then I choose to believe that none of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the elves happened either, and that's all just a ruse.
