Vampire Coast question.
I'm working on a mod for the Vampire Coast and I've run into, maybe not so much a road block, but a little bit of a quandry in which way I should go with it.

But my main question is.

If you confederate Luthor Harkon's Vampire Coast with the Count Noctilus' Dreadfleet faction, or visa versa, do you lose their special mechanics?

And those mechanics being Luthor's shattered mind and Count Noctilus' little missions.

You can't confederate normally so you're already working downstream of a weird situation.

How do you conferate with them and do they lose those mechanics if you do with the other?

Because that was supposed to be one of the parts of the mod, that you should confederate the Dreadfleet, Vampire Coast, and The Drowned factions to be a super powerful VCoast faction.

Since it's a faction mechanic I guess that it would vanish. But as Irath already said it would be experimenting anyway...

But Luthor Harkon's shattered mind thing is shown through a trait.

Would it remove those traits?

Ask the creator of the mod that you're definitely going to have to use.

I mean you can't confederate without modding it in the first place. So whatever happens after that is the decision of whoever made the mod.

I'm the one making the mod. And I'm just trying to figure out some stuff having to do with confederating.

Not being able to confederate is thematically appropriate--the vampire pirates are the most selfish members of an already selfish race.

If you simply enabled it in the game, my guess is, by default, you'd keep the mechanics associated with the first person and not gain the other mechanics. I.e., if you confederated everyone as Harkon, you wouldn't get Cylostra's fancy Lothern building, you wouldn't get Noctilus's DOW missions, and you wouldn't get Aranessa's Free Company. There would probably be weird bugs, too, but those are harder to predict.

Everything was going pretty good, until I found you couldn't confederate with other pirate factions.

Though all may not be lost.

I saw a mod that allows you to recruit the legendary lords if you defeat them.

I just wish someone would make a mod that either combined them or at least combined all of them other than Sartosa, with probably the Dreadflleet

And what do you mean DOW missions?

I know Noctilus has missions, but what do you mean by DOW?
