Turns taking too long in SP/how to speed up AI turns.

So when I end my turns later on in the game it seems like it takes ages for the AI to cycle through their stuff and I wait longer for the AI than I do using my own actions during my turn. Is there a way other than the arrows on the top of the screen to make it go quicker when I hit end turn? It just honestly kind of bores me later on late game and makes me want to start a new game so the turns don't take so long. x.x

So apparently after messing around in the camera settings there is an option on the right hand side to make the animations Fastest, so the people move super fast which in turn helps to reduce some of the time it takes for turns to complete. As others have said you can "turn off" the AI camera movement so it isn't following them down. Hopefully this will make it less of a waiting game at end game when the map is fully revealed and all AI have to move.

The fast forward button during turn changes should help, but you need to press it every turn manually.

Or just eliminate that AI from the game.

Edit: If you want to avoid manually press the fast forward button every time, there is a mod for it which always forces it or something.

Yes I do click it every single time, but it still seems like they just drag their feet out forever x.x

Not sure what you mean but incase you didn't know you can turn off the camera for the ai so you dont follow their every movement on the map when they make their moves.

What I'm saying is that when it is the AI's turn it seems that it takes forever when it is later game. In my most advanced game I spend 3 times as long waiting on all of the AI to move as it does taking for me to do things. Most of my time "gaming" is spent "waiting", so I'm wondering if there's a way to make the AI progress quicker during their turn so it doesn't take so long.

What I personally do is I turn off the camera following all heroes, and then I also turn it off following allied and neutral Lords. I really don't need to know what they are doing. Then I set enemy Lords to fast. The end result is the camera will only follow enemy lords armies movements. Much faster overall, though if you are in alot of wars at once and have alot of visability (high elves seeing everything in the world pretty much for example) then it still can take a minute or so.

Yes I posted that in my edit. That's what I'm doing. Hoping it doesn't take 5 minutes or longer anymore.

Hmm, the latest patch (Potion of Speed) decreased the AI turn times a lot. It takes about 15 seconds for me in Mortal Empires (less in Vortex campaign).

Are you sure you are playing on the latest version?

The camera options button is pretty small.

I just started TW2 40k week and a half or so ago. Still learning all the ins and outs. I found the camera button and figured out I can make it quicker. So I'm hoping turns are no longer 5 minutes.

Please post your CPU and if you're playing on an HDD or SSD. These can really factor in wait times. I'm at turn 163 in my current game it takes about 30-40 seconds. Used to be over one minute until latest patch.

If you have turn times of 5 minutes just due to the following camera I'm impressed. Normally it should definitely not take that long.

Little note: It is Total War: WARHAMMER 2 - so WH2 or TWWH2, not TW2 40k. That combination exists in no way or form currently.

If you think it's slow now, you should've seen it before the Potion of Speed update. XD

The AI turn time is a huge improvement now compared to how it used to be.
