They have strong magic and very strong generic lords
Malekith is 10/10 legendary lord - great fighter - good caster - super good faction leader
Dark Elves are fast damage dealers
But they are week in defense
They have weak garrisons and their units arent very good for long combat - they deal lots of damage but they also take lots of damage ( glass Cannon )
Their range deals tons of damage but they have low range
* Shades can have range more than 200 but they need to tech + lord skill + lord trait
Their arty has low range
Their monsters are slow ( shoot them )
Black Arks their biggest strenght becouse they can recruit elite units anywhere very fast + their spells
How to counter DE ? Outrange them and Attack their settlements - trash garrisons
Simply dont get hit by them :)
Skaven needs weapon teams to kill them
Lizards can use anything they want, probably dino spam
But best tip i can give you is spam Black Arks and shades
My go to army is lord, caster or fighter
12 Shades with great weapons
3 Arty
2 Black Guard
What do you do once that army gets engaged in melee? Shades tend to melt when they go up against any dedicated melee unit higher than tier 1.
