Unable to search any treasure at sea even using primary lord?

For some reason my game is unable to search any of the treasures at see using any lord including the default you start with.. It says to search with a lord of course, and it used to work but after the last major DLC, it stopped working... Thought it was a corrupt file or something so did not mess with it until now.. but did a full clean install across the board on a new system, same problem..

NO mods running, DX 11 mode in use. Same result two different gaming systems now. Any ideas?

Are you sailing at full speed? You can only search at sea if you you move at normal speed. Same deal for normal stance and marching stance on land.

Yep that was it... So it changed then.. Because prior you could sail at full speed and it did not matter..

because now you CAN trigger battles, but for that the game wants you to be in default stance

This doesn't work for me. Can't search in any stance.

Forget it. You need to leave the circle, enter normal stance, and then re-enter.
