Sounds like a mod or bug though.
It definately seemed like a bug when I was playing, I probably should've saved the battle to see if it could be replicated
Well hopefully it happens again cause it sounds pretty interesting. Cavalry charging the enemy before they even know you're Cavalry charging them. 11/10
Could be Line of Sight. If ther are Hills between you and you enemy and you have no unit on higher grounds, you can lose sight.
Hopefully CA finds it, it seems like a really obscure bug
i think they nerfed the map size just to piss people off. ive done alot of rando campaigns in different places lots of unesscary hills and treelines seemingly to screw the player if its not the badlands where orcs are or tomb king deserts.
im doing high elf legendary and my archers constantly fail to swap targets while in stand your ground where they dont chase fleeing or broken units.
