Will this run on an Acer Aspire 5?
Couldn't find anything conclusive on google. Anyone playing the game on one of these and how does it run if so?

The first few comments on that reddit post are bs tbh. I had a quick look see around anyway.

I've run this game on a laptop with an i7 4720HQ, 970m, 16 Gb RAM.
It manages, at present and since the last DLC, 30 fps average medium at 1080p (was 42 fps average medium before, various driver changes, current and up to 1 year old, show no difference) While the 8550U may be of higher pedigree comparatively against the MX150, that part is more like a 950m. The CPU may add little, the GPU will subtract more... despite the game being CPU heavy it still demands pretty sweet graphics. You'll be seeing less fps, lower settings, or both, than I did. Keep in mind also the Acer 5's less substantial cooling solution, throttling over time/heat build up will likely hit performance more. However... dropping resolution down will allow increases in overall performance, but be aware this game starts looking really bad lower than 720p.

TL:DR It can run it, but not well at all, with what performance there is likely throttling pretty quickly. Sorry, but this game is a demanding SoB to run.

Thanks I thought that might be the case. Good to know before making the substantial price commitment this game requires. Too bad I'm a big fan of both the Warhammer and Total War series'

Hi, it's 0800 here and I haven't slept yet due to insomnia etc but I just edited my comment after a lightbulb went off in my foggy head...
Basically, dropping resolution will trade for better fps/settings. I'm not sure to what degree but it might be worth the try... Steam does have that refund window for a reason... (though if it's still no go you'll have some cash stuck on Steam iirc)

1.Buy vanilla WH2 during winter sale (starts December 19th).
2. Try it under 2 hours, if it does not run well, refund it.
3.Profit???
