A vigor and line of sight bonus? Sure, its useful an all, but the other choices have some real and immediate payoff.
Ranged units? Sure thats great as vamp counts, but they are limited in number, so that's one hell of a trade off for other faction picks that buff up your entire faction.
*shrugs* Just going from my memory on what the bloodlines offer bonus wise. I'd really like to see the skill lines for them all.
kemmler has a -50% necro upkeep, and the vampires in general have a -33% hero upkeep tech, so combine those together with the first lahmia skill and you get near free upkeep for most heroes , and since TW seems to like doing things additively instead of multiplicitively, I wouldn't be surprised if a bug came up GIVING you money for necros as kemmler.
Vigour loss reduction means you can go that much longer without suffering major penalties, and yet still recover vigour in normal times.
150% vision means noone is sneaking up of you any times soon, as not only do you see further, but because of that the chance of multiple armies / hereos having vision over an area increases and compounds to make ambushes fail everytime.
Don't get me wrong I want to like the Lahmia the most, mainly due to lore reasons. There just seems to be far stronger incentive to pick the others. Heck, even the researcher, with the tech revamp, power researching free zombie/skeletons could be considered darn near overpowered.
*Shrugs* Don't think I am wedded to the notion of Lahmia sucking, I just want to know their darn skill tree to see how they'd play compared to the bloodlines shown.
edit: And darn am I bored. I don't want to start a new game with this shiny new patch on the horizon. -- Somewhat off topic, but I wonder how vamp counts and vamp coast will get along.
Saltspite - Hated undead pirates lorewise (At least how I understand it)
Noctilius - Everyone hates him for amassing to much power
Harkon - mad as a hatter, hard to imagine that making him popular
Triggleypuff - ??? (no idea how she even came to recruit vamps, so no notion on her relationships)
