How does explosive damage work with damage bonus?
Some units have both explosive damage and a bonus vs a unit type. Does bonus damage boost the explosive damage or does it only effect the base/AP damage.

I think that bonus damage vs large/inf is counted as pure damage.
For arty and ranged units i presume it applies a bonus on the unit accuracy hidden stat, it makes sense since these units are not melee fighters. This is just my speculation tho

Bonus damage vs infantry/large is based on the ratio of normal damage to AP. So if you have 30 weapon strength in total and 20 is regular damage, while 10 is AP. 33% of the bonus damage will be AP and 66% will be normal. Or another example 20 regular damage, 20 AP. If your bonus vs target is 10. It'll be a 5 regular damage and 5 AP increase.

I understand that, but explosive damage is listed seperatly, and has its own AP/non AP values. Are those impacted by the damage bonus?

Explosion damage is considered normal damage. Just has a massive AOE that will always deal out that physical damage.

This is my bad, I should have been more clear, knew that would probably confusing. I got real silly and was trying to attempt to make my statement about it being AOE more clear and it got muddied instead.

There is explosive AP too and anti-large and anti-infantry interact exactly the same, should not have described it as normal damage, that's on me. Let me revamp my statement.

Explosive damage, both AP explosive and regular explosive interact with anti-large's and anti-nfantry's exactly the same as it would with regular explosive and ap damage.

And regarding ranged units the bonus applies to accuracy or not as far as you know? If not it would be a very lame bonus

Is explosive and non explosive damage totalled up then and the bonus damage split proportionally?

Example:

Base Damage: 1
AP : 2
explosive : 1
explosive AP : 2
(3 normal and 3 explosive damage total)

Base / AP / Explosive / Explosive AP

Bonus damage 3
-> 1.5/3/1.5/3

(+.5/+1/+.5/+1) = +3

Or is it

Bonus damage 3
-> 2/4/2/4

(+1/+2/+1/+2) = +6

Where both the explosive and normal damage get the full amount of bonus seperatly but split between there respective AP and non AP values.

I believe it's spilt between all of them. So each damage type would be increased by 25% of the vs X entity bonus.

No, only damage is added for missle units if they have anti-large or anti-infantry.
