Mm. What about magic? Net and Shem's from Lore of Light, Soul Quench and Arcane Unforging from High Magic, or using Life to heal and buff your own monsters to help them beat up the dinos.
1 - Archers + spearmen. Even should I focus on Carnosaurs to charge.. I can barely get though a single line of spearmen without some serious damage.
2 - Kiting. anytime I have to chase someone.. It's a clear loss. Lizardmen do not run and do not run well.. Stamina drains are pretty hardsh.
Of course, if your composition just isn't able to tackle a monster-heavy roster.. you're not going to have an easier time fighting them. Missile damage is going to always benifit you here, cuz the best we have is the Terrosaur flighers. which should be focused down.
Carnosaurs are the only anti-large dinosaur they have, so keep them away from your Dragons which should be focused on getting rid of their Lords/Heroes or overwhelmed infantry positions. 1-2 Ballistas will do fine for Dinosaur sniping. Needless to say, Magic is going to be useful to keep the High Elf martial prowess buff from disappearing too quickly.
Lizards are slow, so as long as you protect your archers from their cav, you can destroy lizardmen with focus fire, easily.
Hit them with artillary, it worked for me during a TK run
Range: High Elves have superior ranged unit option when fighting Lizardmen so make sure to have many archers to rain down the fire.
Artillery: High Elf Eagle Claws are excellent for killing both large and infantry to bring a couple for each battle.
Infantry: Saurus are tough melee units but are still infantry so send out Swordmasters and White Lions to go toe to toe with them
Cavalry and Monsters: These units should be giving you the least problems as High Elves have lots of Anti Large options. Spearmen to serve as meat shield, Phoenix Guard for the heavy duty, Lothern Sea Guard who can do the same job as Spearmen but also have bows and your own monsters such as dragons to battle them directly but make sure that your dragons have back up.
Magic: This is the real game changer where High Elves truly shine, you should have mages accompany your army so you can wield whatever Winds of Magic you want. My go to is Life so I can keep my Lords and Monsters healed.
Rampage their cav then send in some spears.
