Total War: WARHAMMER II

Forest Strider
I am sorry for bringing up old news but can someone describe to me in the best detail they can about the white lion's forest strider?

As the stat implies they get a boost in melee attack and defense. I observed this when I placed the unit's cursor over the forest icon and I saw melee attack: 110% and melee defense 120%, but what does that mean, what changes am I seeing (direct or indirect), and are white lions that effective in forest battles?

Thank you very much.

A shame absolutely no one replied to such an important question of possibly the vaguest stat boost in the game that should have obviously been translated into an ability instead.

So far they're indirect changes that are applied to every model that is within a forest.

This is probably the scummiest unit buff in the game, I believe first formally introduced by the Wood Elves in TW:WH1. I had 0 clues what Forest Stalker was until today actually. And I have played around 3000 hours (or more) on both games combined. I though it was like most other believes it is, a distinction between the Forest Spirits and the Wood elves. But no, it has significant importance. The stats are not directly applied to the unit, but sneakily added without being displayed. Expecting you, the player, to Basically do the maths of how much 20% of your melee defense is converted into bonus stats. Yeah, good luck with that CA. My armies are in total war and you expect me to have the time to sit and convert how much these terrain stat boosts affect my units?

I am thinking about making a mod that removes Forest Strider and Forest Stalker effects entirely and add it as an ability for each and every unit that has the Exact same boosted stats as the ground effect suggests. It should never have been this way, they idea is there but poorly executed and left as a shadow of confusion instead without being properly explained.

Again, shameful that no one could try to help you with the question.
