Doesn't really matter though because inspite of what you might think, when CA announces a new full army pack, they'd have their ♥♥♥♥ in order, but no. The lizardmen and Skaven are still not complete. Only half a roster, no RoR and the Lizardmen are the only faction where their 'trait' is pure punishment instead of something that buffs the faction (rampage vs skurry away, martial prowess etc).
So just don't play em. Until they're fixed.
Bit of a shame to having to wait for being able to play as them if you ask me ...
Bit of a shame is a gross understatement.
They have a somewhat 'competitive' multiplayer, yet, 2 races are incomplete.
2 races that were in the base game of Warhammer II, for which 1 and now 2 DLC's of complete races have, or will very soon be, added.
It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ embarassing if you ask me. I mean, on top of all the other ♥♥♥♥ ups ofcourse.
Norsca, the autoresolve bug not being fixed for ages, making a map where 1/3rd consists of water, yet have no naval warfare which is only now being fixed (which is laughable to say the least, since they did the same damn thing with Runesmithing, adding it right AFTER it came out on the workshop and giving the modders a 'shout out' instead of really acknowleding their work and offering them a job, since they managed to fix and add more to the game than CA ever could with FAR superior tools), the old world factions being underwhelming since the 2nd game came out, having the largest pricetag for any DLC on the Woodelves and Beastmen, which are bland and pretty much unplayable atm.
I can go on and on about things that are just jawdroppingly stupid about this game so yeah...
This company is kind of hilarious.
The auto-resolve I've experiencing it, its very frustrating I admit...
About naval battles, well I make myself a reason, between having something completely buggy and nothing I prefer having nothing. The only naval battles I really enjoyed were those of empires / Napoleon total war. Those of Rome 2 were so bland ...
But yeah I kind of feel that anger too, I just bought this game, its first horribly expensive (thanks to DLC) and the auto resolve bug annoys me.
We will see what the future brings to us, certainly some more DLC and even more bug :D
Oh, I don't mind buying DLC. As long as they have their ♥♥♥♥ in order. First, fix the basegame, then make sure everything is up to speed and competitive with your newer DLC, then release anything new you want.
DLC purchases is optional only if you want to play that certain faction, other than that, the races are in the game for you to play against, regardless of you buying it or not. It's a good business model.
But what I mean by naval warfare being fixed is that a few modders made it so that when you come across someone at sea, you can now, instead of only being able to autoresolve, fight the battle on 'a nearby island'. And now that that's out in the workshop, CA releases a statement that they're gonna add that into the game. Nothing about it beforehand. Just like how it went down with Runesmithing for the Dwarves.

its a symptom of the crappy way the do patches, in essence forcing you to re download the whole game, and people hate it.
so in stead of putting out small patches that force you to DL the whole game, we get NO patches at all and are forced to suck it for months at a time because... lol
