is there a complete unit stats list (excel-style)?

I'm looking for a complete list with all stats for units. I'm looking for an excel style sheet (open office / google docs etc) that I can do calculations on. I know there are databases out there that has all the information, but I havent found a simple convenient collection of unit stats.

I cant seem to find a good way to get around the fancy html and copy/paste from twwstats.com - If I could get a copy of his database, sure. But I want the information in my own spreadsheet for theorycrafting, basically. twwstats is great, but not really what I am looking for. Thanks though!

Things is stats tend to change with each patch, keep that in mind.

Also possible, but again, all the units types and factions are on seperate pages, and so that will be 15-20ish factions with 7-8 unit types, i.e. a 100-150 pages that needs to be copied, cleaned and reformed in excel - doable, but a lot of manual work.. I guess I am looking for an easier solution before I do something like that :)

You can separate by unit types but each faction has the complete unit list. Clicking a category redirects to a filtered page.

So it would only be copy and paste of each faction (still tedious, but given what you're attempting I feel you're a nerd with some good excel skills:))

Anyone remember the nice, thick manual that came with Age of Empires 2, with all the units listed alphabetically at the back :)

Also just a quick excel conversion tip. I like to give anytbing I am copy and pasting a "notepad bath" to clean any "hidden" formatting and to organize it cleanly (deleting extra characters or markings and stuff)

You could use the modding tools and extract the tables you need. This would also make your life alot easier when any update is done since you would only need to create an Excel file once that would compile the data you want in a more readable format.

yep, I'm thinking that too. I've downloaded the packmanager program, but I havent been able to really dive into all the tables yet. I still havent found the unit stats, for example ;) - but it will be a fun project for the weekend!

Problem with total war spreadsheets is the numbers get changed with every patch.
