Hi end CPU optimization fix that works...
This is for high end computers (i have i9, 1080ti sli), if you are experiencing lag or slow downs or stuttering to the point of nausea, here's the answer: 32 bit engine is outdated and will not handle all cores running. If your game runs like garbage no matter what the setting, here you go.

Download free "process lasso" software. Open tw2 launcher to get the intro/mod screen, open process lasso, find launcher exe, right click, see CPU Affinity (limit cpu use) uncheck none and core 0, leave all other cores checked. It automatically saves the settings, then go in game and you will find that on max settings with vsync and anti a off, it runs flawless, go figure...

So if warhammer 2 is 32 bit that means it can not use more than 3gb (or 4gb) of ram?

Also why does the launcher set the cores?

Frankly im no PC expert but having a 32bit launcher set cpu core usage for a 64bit game according to its own 32bit limitations seems like an extremely stupid oversight?

Can I let AA turned on ¿?
i have better AA at better frames when i turn off ingame AA and use nvidia forced AA.
I use 4x for 2K, idk if you even need AA for 4K if you have good pixel density and not just a huge oversized monitor.

game is 64 bit and even has dx12 mode, OP is full of ...
And 64 bit has nothing to do with multithreading anyways.

Warhammer 2 is one of the few games I've seen that runs better with the more Ram you have, I have 16 gb, and know some one you says it even runs better on 32 gb of ram, So yes Warhammer II is 64 bit program.

The launcher is 32 bit. I increased my frame rate by over 25 fps into the 80's average and zero stuttering, pretty simple, if not working for you, your computer sucks sorry...

the only thing that works for me on my 7900x... no excuse for this as the games been out for a long ass time and it's the only game that does it (other than other total war games). Without doing this i'll be at 110 fps and dip into the 30's then back to 110 and just keeps doing that but mainly during battles, does occur on occasion though in the campaign map.

Legend has it that necromancy is unhealthy for your cpu.

Must be an Intel thing then because I bought this game when I still had an intel i7 processor but bought a new PC last December which has an AMD 3rd gen Ryzen processor and now my game runs extremely fast and is very smooth.

I think it is Intel, their turbo boost software does zero to my fps whether it's on or off. Plus I don't think the game knows how to utilize 19 cores. I have updated to 2080ti and with everything maxed, except shadows at "high" anti alz "off" everything checked except vsync and I'm getting 70-72 in benchmarks consistently and that's in ultra wide 3840x1600. With process lasso I get zero stuttering in the biggest battles I have fought, without it, it tanks to 40.

same 7900x OC'D to 4.6 ghz, 32g ram, and 2080ti ftw3 and if i don't uncheck one of the cores it'll stutter... honestly though works great after unchecking a cpu. I play in 1440p ultra.

I have an i9 and 1080ti and feel like my frames are fine? Idk though. I do see that my Cpu is less than 30% utilitized while my GPU is running at about 98% load at basically all times, though.

Some TK battles can kill the frames but I had just been assuming that's normal due to all high model low tier units.

It's not really the frames for the most part just bad stuttering, like i'll be playing and dip from 110 fps down to 30-40 then back up to 110, it'll do this about every 10 seconds or so.

Just tried this for myself and it does indeed make a huge difference!

yep, just wish they'd fix it. I'm guessing it doesn't affect a whole lot of people though and therefore isn't a huge priority on their part. Same thing happens in three kingdoms as well, so i'm assuming it's just their games in general.

mine runs great but takes like 10 mins to load into the game AND to load the map after EVERY battle. no clue how to fix this.
