TK can't build at karaz-a-karak?

i just occupied the ruins at karaz-a-karak, and just trying to build the t1 settlement building, it's saying i need to meet building conditions to build it?

what am i doing wrong?

This should be your problem solved quote, the dwarves probably buried the karak with amount of the grudges you generated. Though a more honest answer is its probably a bug, though I've only played tombkings outside of mortal empires, but first do you have any mods on, and have you tried re loading, because it could be that your game its self is bugged rather than total war warhammer 2.

no mods, it's a multiplayer campaign with a friend, haven't tried reloading yet.

Sounds like an oversight, the developers quietly look through these forums so I wouldn't be surprised if they already saw this and are looking into it. Doesn't hurt to bring this to Reddit as well where they post more.

Funny hahah, usually building issues are resolved by buying the TK DLC.

There's nothing in the patch notes about fixing it. So either it isn't a bug in the game itself (mods, etc.), it hasn't been officially noticed, or they just haven't gotten around to fixing it.

check the community bug fix on workshop, its a mod that fixes many bugs.

if its not in their fix log then post it as a comment there.

ok, so when we resumed the multiplayer game, we tried reloading the previous turn - taking the settlement resulted in the same thing. we tried letting pop grow, had no effect. we *THINK* however, that the cause may be due to the book - of which we BOTH have a copy. he got it for razing the settlement, and i got it for occupying the settlement.

it's just one province, so meh, i can let the vampies take the settlement, wait a few turns for THEM to build a settlement, and then take it from them, maybe?

I had a similar thing taking Hellpit ruins as Dwarfs. The ruins had the build icon (hammer) hovering over them but there was no way to repair them or build anything else.

I just ran into the same issue in a single player game, have been unable to sort out a way around it.
