-Lore- Why does Manfred kill Balthasar?
Soo,

I've been reading a lot about the End times recently.
I know nearly everything about the plot of the End Times and a huge chunk of the Warhammer lore in general.
But there is one thing I still don't understand.
Why does Manfred kill Balthasar during the Final Battle at Middenheim? Is he worshipping Chaos or Something? I mean, he kinda doomed the world.

The Warhammer Community tends to say something like "Manfred decides, that he had not enough screen time ...."

But that's not really helpful :p

He cannot deal with being a minion. He killed Vlad and his rivals so he could be the sole ruler of Sylvania and, eventually, the Empire. He conspired with Arkhan to bring back Nagash because he, like Arkhan, felt only Nagash had the power to stop the End Times. However, with Nagash back in action it put Mannfred very much back into that minion status he despised so much, more than ever before. With Nagash being a much worse boss than Vlad, Mannfred went AWOL and joined Chaos so he wouldn't be an underling of Nagash. Unurprisingly, Chaos wasn't much better so he defected back since he then hated being a puppet of Chaos. So then now comes this crucial moment where all the world is on the line. The good guys are winning, but if they win Nagash is stronger than ever and Mannfred will never be able to break free from his control. He'll become an eternal servant, and he loathes the idea more than anything else in the world. So he sees a way out, not Nagash, not Chaos, but Archaon. Chaos wants to corrupt the world, Order wants to save it, but Archaon wants to destroy it. And the rift he opened would do just that. So to prove that he, Mannfred, was the master of his own fate and not Nagash or Chaos, he took fate into his own hands and killed Gelt to bring about the end of the world so that no one could ever control him.

It didn't make any sense. Nothing about the End Times save Nagash made sense. By that point everyone was so wildly out of character they didn't even resemble themselves.

End times was just GW saying we need to rename everything, make a new ip and change the names for most races money money!

But has someone else said by that time everyone was off their rocker for the most part that they wherre no longer really themselves anymore.

not because of that well they old CEO wanted to do that because GW make practically no sell with he model so he got the bright idea ''why not destroy ours dear fantasy battle and remade the world with new model and sell it twice'' fan didn't like that they lore got uterly destroyed

so GW CEO decided 2 years ago to retire and made he seat for sell (the way he destroyed everyhting that not surprise me) but with he new CEO he begin to re-hire they ''specialist table top gamer'' because they old CEO have again the bright idea to fire them.

but the new CEO made some new rule for releasing the General's handbook for what he left in AoS but to late the damage is done regarding the lore but the game itself the tabletop is pretty fun but the lore that nothing left viable unfortunately

Not just change the names, reinvent the game so people could accept paying more money for less models.
This way it was harder to compare costs between the two.

The explanation is rather easy: Manfred is just an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Manfred is the mirror image of GW. They just like to kill things with no remorse or attachment. Manfred can sometimes be badass, though.

Because he became a problem both the Empire and the VC. At the end Balthazar lost his mind because of the guilt. Anyway, "The end times" is a huge crap.

Warhammer Community seems to get offended quite easily.

I mean come on. I am just asking one simple question and everybody feels the need to proclaim his frustration.

I don't care If the Lore is bad or Games Workshop is greedy as ♥♥♥♥. I am just curious, that's all.

I am pretty sure that there must be some kind of explanation or at least motive in the books.
All this whining is just starting to bore me and is also pretty childish.

My disappointment in GW knows no bounds on this subject.
On a side note, isn't being triggered the new thing to do with kids these days? Have to keep up with the times.

I don't think there was a good reason for it. It was just something that needed to happen, so GW decided Manfred was going to do it. Isn't Manfred a god in AoS? If he is a god, I suppose you could say he killed Balthazar to obtain godhood.

It may surprise you, but Vampires are known for being greedy, power hungry backstabbers. Thus Mannfred was just acting in his nature, the piece of ****.
