Playing as Tomb Kings, Vassal Question
Can other factions become your vassal? I've made Rakaph Dynasty my vassal but they were Tomb Kings as well. My question is whether you can make like vampires or orcs your vassal? Is that possible in the vanilla game? I'm only really using graphical type mods and nothing that changes the game in terms of diplomacy.

No.
Vassal has always been a bit hard for CA to get to work properly(aka not having my allies attack my vassals....that still induces rage)

Most people use this mod:

Ya I had Clan Pestilens declare war against my vassal and I said I'd side with my vassal but it still showed skaven as neutral and he basically took both cities.... I was like wtf?? Didn't I declare war against them...? But ya, thanks for the info.

Yes you can vassalize. I vassalized lothern as khatep.
HOWEVER the idea of vassalizing is that they give you money amd you take over their defense. If your strength rank declines they can break vassalization and declare war on you. That's what happened to me. They broke vassalization only 4 turns later.
I went back, kept military alliance no vassal, and it was much better VC are all but destroyed this way.
Only make vassals of very weak factions. Yes it works.

Not in vanilla.
You are using above mentioned diplomatic options mod.

There is no vassal option in vanilla WH II for foreign races except when you conquer their last settlement and even then I think it is only for your own race.

So yes I tell you that it's not a vanilla behaviour.

I'm not using any mods either and can confirm that I was able to vassalize lothern as Settra (as I did with Khatep and Khalida)

Did lothern stay vassalized? They broke with me right away they were a higher strength rank.

Ahh, okay now I see.

Well in that case I of course apologize, my previous statements were wrong.

They were happy to pay 5k gold as tribute each turn, before they broke the treaty after ca. 20 turns for no obvious reason (guess they just asked themself “what have the roman... er tomb kings ever done for us?“) ... ungrateful elv-things
