Any Tipps for Crooked Moon?
Let's be honest, Skarsnik and his little, green gobbos are the best and the funniest. I really want to complete the Skarsnik campaign, but I suck. I'm getting my little green ass whipped everytime. Belegar and his stupid dawi stalking me across the whole map and steamroll my poor gobbos. How did you succes? Should I stay at my starting province and try to build a goobo empire or should I move horde-like from turn 1 and hurry up to capture Karak Eightpeaks asap?

run and hide! no i invaded the town to the NW, and then went for the mountain range to the north, the dwarves were easy, but hopefully you beat Brettonia to the 3rd one. the elves started war with me but they never came over to attack, I didn't run into trouble until I went south and unified the province you start with. after I took that, it was like 5 nations attacking me from the south

The technically optimal way to do it is probably to race across the map and grab Eight Peaks as soon as you can. But that turns you into an ordinary Greenskin faction, and where's the fun in that? So I'd say build your gobbo empire, overrun everyone under a tide of cowardly little green men.

Geez,
The best way to do it is to start raiding right out of the chute...Go into the Empire to the east, build up your army with more gobo's.

If you can then head southernly go right back into your mountain province and nab that Dwarf hold just south of the provinces capitol. From there have a look at what Belegar is doing...He may likely be heading your way at this time.
If he is you want to outmanuaver him and get your filthy paws on his weaker settlements, Sack em up...

Just keep moving, sack and raid every little town you can, and all the while try to build up your army up to 20 guys and get a WAAAAAAGHHH going.
Once you have your Waaaaaagggggghhh army, you can go after either Belegars Capitol or the Dwarf hold capitol in your province.

Playing as the Gobo's is all about outsneakying the stunties...

You dont actually need Karak as much as the other contenders and can quickly build up some execelent gobo armies to handle things.
Bear in mind that Gobo's are not really good at defending much, they are however really good when they get up in levels, each Nightgoblin Warboss has execelent perks that make gobo's really good at charging.

I use to give up the starting settlement but go around all sneaky like and have schemes, just loot and occupy what I could and keep on the move also pick troglodytes, as I was doing this I would send Sly da miser out to scout nearby Orc/goblin tribes for confederation, I would normally confederate with Red Eye as they have a gold mine its a great economy to build army's on and then simply move down from there but I'am not sure if this is even viable anymore since Ungrim is now moved, I must try Skarsnik again, I would really like CA to make Gobbla detached from Skarsnik.

In other games I would jsut conquer the starting province and move along the mountains down.

Found the Skarsnik Campaign one of the most challenging but one of the most rewarding and fun i played, you need to leave the starting area as soon as possible, all that surround you hate the poor gobbos, be sneaky plunder wissenland if you want, evade belegar by staying in the empire try to stay in areas where you can cross mountains to evade the rest. The rest is up to you i went to plunder the border princes and established outposts along the coast.

Yeah thanks at first. Tried some of your advices in earlier campaigns. The problem is always Belegar. He's following me to everywhere. Also, I captured some of the Border Princess cities and tried to establish a base there for attacking Eight Peaks and when I did that the Crooked Moon Rebels stood at my door with 1 1/2 stacks + Whaag.
I think it's on me and I just gave to gid gud. :/

If you didn't know, the AI Angrund/Crooked Moon gets MASSIVE boosts to help beat you, including and not limited to: less upkeep, more public order, faster recruitment time, faster building. And they will also ALWAYS target you with their armies. I have never been able to capture K8P as Crooked Moon, as Angrund though it is much easier, especially with the cheese you can pull of with your ethereal heroes.

True. With Angrund it's not easy but compared to poor Gobbos it's a walkover. Good thing is, Gobbos are cheap. I'll try again this weekend. It's the campaign I want to finish at most.

What I have done that works *reasonably* well with Crooked Moon is to just try to get a 20 stack ASAP. send your hero to try and delay the enemy army. (you will level him up really fast doing this) then use the underway to go past the capital to the other minor settlement, capture that and get an income building.

At this point Angrund will have already taken or have taken their starting province, they will be getting a 20 stack and will come after you and it wont do for you to be caught sieging your starting province capital. An ambush would do very well for you in this situation, either ambushing Angrunds army or the other clans army (forgot their name) Oh and also try to get a second stack ASAP as well.

Good luck!

The goblins are also god tier flankers since i think its the stabbas that get armor piercing (look at the unit cards, one of them gets it it might be nasty skulkers i havent played the greenskins of any sort in awhile) but they are suprisingly deadly when behind and skarsnik makes even basic goblins decent frontliners since they get a bronze shield. Just go around and melt what should have been deadly and expensive units
