The best way to do it is to start raiding right out of the chute...Go into the Empire to the east, build up your army with more gobo's.
If you can then head southernly go right back into your mountain province and nab that Dwarf hold just south of the provinces capitol. From there have a look at what Belegar is doing...He may likely be heading your way at this time.
If he is you want to outmanuaver him and get your filthy paws on his weaker settlements, Sack em up...
Just keep moving, sack and raid every little town you can, and all the while try to build up your army up to 20 guys and get a WAAAAAAGHHH going.
Once you have your Waaaaaagggggghhh army, you can go after either Belegars Capitol or the Dwarf hold capitol in your province.
Playing as the Gobo's is all about outsneakying the stunties...
You dont actually need Karak as much as the other contenders and can quickly build up some execelent gobo armies to handle things.
Bear in mind that Gobo's are not really good at defending much, they are however really good when they get up in levels, each Nightgoblin Warboss has execelent perks that make gobo's really good at charging.
In other games I would jsut conquer the starting province and move along the mountains down.
I think it's on me and I just gave to gid gud. :/
True. With Angrund it's not easy but compared to poor Gobbos it's a walkover. Good thing is, Gobbos are cheap. I'll try again this weekend. It's the campaign I want to finish at most.
What I have done that works *reasonably* well with Crooked Moon is to just try to get a 20 stack ASAP. send your hero to try and delay the enemy army. (you will level him up really fast doing this) then use the underway to go past the capital to the other minor settlement, capture that and get an income building.
At this point Angrund will have already taken or have taken their starting province, they will be getting a 20 stack and will come after you and it wont do for you to be caught sieging your starting province capital. An ambush would do very well for you in this situation, either ambushing Angrunds army or the other clans army (forgot their name) Oh and also try to get a second stack ASAP as well.
Good luck!
