Emperor Karl Franz killed in battle

I thought legendary lords are immortal...but i just killed Karl Franz in battle...I am suspecting this is caused by a mod but wasn't sure which one. Has someone else encountered the same problem?

Is he actually dead, or does it just display that message? I don't fully remember so don't trust what I say, but I think when I kill legendary lords I get the message that they've perished, but they respawn a few turns later. I definitely have not encountered a legendary lord actually dying permanently.

I think he is permanently dead because when i go to diplomacy the faction leader is not him anymore...

I know it happened to me with Tretch Craventail. I confederated Rictus while Tretch was wounded, it undid his immortality status and he could be killed in battle.

But that was pre Resurgence. I'm not sure about this case however.

Yeah.. sounds like your game broke there. Probably should send in a bug report on that one. I definitely have not seen the faction leader for empire change before.
