Lore - any greenskins fight for Khorne/Chaos?
It seems a perfect fit, Savage Orcs etc spilling blood for the blood god...did it ever happen in the lore?

I am interested in this too. Hopefully some lore experts will enlighten us.

In the meantime as an old school board gamer, I can point you to the fabulous Hero Quest which was semi-based on the Warhammer universe and set in the Old World :D

Lore wise I believe Orks are immune to chaos. They were created by the olds gods not chaos gods.

The thing is, chaos has nothing to offer the greenskins. All they want to do is fight, and they do that just fine without the chaos gods( their own gods is already way fightier)

Nah, orcs are all loyal to their own twin gods Gork and Mork.

Khorne is worshipped mostly by humans, just like Sigmar. And suggesting that the tribe should abandon their green gods to worship a god of humans, will probably result in the convert being quickly ripped to shreds.

Black orcs are supposedly a chaos dwarf experiment gone wrong. So they are sort of chaos infused.

haha yeah.. there are also stories about dark elves trying to use greenskins as slave labour, that did not end well either.

one does not simply controll "da boyz" unless your the biggest green *or black* git around.

Basically the closest one could consider is black orcs, but they are not tainted by chaos and sitll serve gork and mork.

Basically the chaos dwarfs wanted to make better stronger, smarter orc slaves and got what they wanted, it backfired badly and the chaos dwarfs where pushed to the top steps of their temple and at the moment of defeat to their black orc creations, the hobgoblins did what they do back and backstabbed the orcs and drove them out of the dark lands largely. Chaos dwarf still retain some black orc slaves but not in large numbers for fear of history repeating themselves.

I‘m not sure I belive the hole chaos dwarfs making the black ork event, caus it doesn‘t make any sense since they already had trouble controling the orks and making them better wouldn‘t have helped

In 40k I fielded a Chaos Ork army. My rationale was that since Orks were birthed from spores, some spores on a ship traveled through the warp and were corrupted, thus creating a chaotic and warped version of Orks.

I used the standard rules for Orks, but most had either a red color scheme, like Bloodletters and were dedicated to Khorne. Or they were grey and pallid and dedicated to Nurgle.

Basically black orcs where meant to be more docile and where at first.

Aye, they were created as a smarter, larger, less in-fighty orc-breed that were supposed to work as task-masters, controlling their smaller kin while staying obedient to their dwarf overlords.
And yeah, the obedience thing didn´t work so hot and they subsequently took control over their lessers and broke free.

Oh! And as for gods, souls and theology and that malarcy:

There was a theory that Mork (and/or Gork) were creatures of the warp, from which all magic seeps into the world, akin to not only the four chaos gods, but all other divine beings with power in the Warhammer world.

And that the greenskins were naturaly attuned to Mork/Gork who got their power from their energy and aggression,
so that would explain why there are not really any chaos-orcs.
Their souls are allready claimed by another supernatural being (or beings).
