FXAA problems with grass
Hey folks,
Recently got TWW2 and really loving the game. I have been having issues with the shadows but can see from other threads that this is well documented.

A slightly stranger issue is that grass looks very ugly and blocky when using FXAA. When turning on 2x or 4x AA, the grass looks lighter, and far sharper and basically is no longer an eye sore.

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Cheers, SadS

Well, FXAA isn't real anti-aliasing. I'd imagine this just comes down to the limitations of what FXAA can do.

Thanks Chibbity! Would you recommend applying x2? I reckon I can do this and still keep the frame rate locked to 30fps constant.

Yeah, it shouldn't hit your FPS too hard.

You can also try forcing MFAA through your graphics card drivers, it generally looks nicer than FXAA but is similarly cheap.

Hi Chibbity, that worked a treat. I applied 2x within game settings and then used the Nvidia control panel to apply 'enhance the application setting' 8x and 8x supersample for antialasing transparency. Game looks good in battle and campaign and the ugly grass is gone.
