Tomb King Heroes (Prince, Necrotect, Liche Priest), how are you using them?
How do you find these heroes in battle?

I'm finding a tricked out Death School Liche Priest to be a freak at destroying undead (other tomb king mostly) with his -16 leadership he can almost win battles by himself

At the moment I'm a little confused on Tomb Princes, what is their true purpose on the battlefield? Are they there to gib other heroes? they don't feel as powerful as other melee heroes of other factions at all, anyone able to help me out with using them?

Still getting used to necrotects following constructs around but staying out of battle themselves, sometimes they seem like a wasted slot, but sometimes they can be somewhat handy when attached to a Heirotitan or something. I'm still trying to get my use of them down pat

Tips?

There are 2 ways to use Princes. Either on foot or on Chariot. Chariot version is extremely strong against enemy infantry if you can cyckle some charges.

On foot version is good for taking out weak enemy heroes or lords.

Necrotects are promarily campaign map agents but they should be used in armies where you have multiple constructs.

Lore of nehk is better than death with the ridiculous - 47 MA/MD nuke that hits half the screen as well as buffs that make heroes death machines. But death casters aren't bad, dead knight can be good to start crumbling and soul blight is always useful.

Tomb prince's provide a - 22% damage reduction aura and are absolutely deadly when levelled and kitted with crafted items that give regen and ward save. Every army should have 1 of each hero for max effectiveness.

Necros are your most important heroes... They heal constructs and give you $17500 worth of free units, they are probably the most important unit in your whole army, hardly a wasted slot. They also blow up walls which is ultra necessary for TK sieges and give insanely good movement speed buffs.

Reminder, Necrotect's +20 vs infantry.

Yeah everytime I try to micro a chariot lord they get stuck, have to really click through units a lot to get him to push through. Might be worthwhile to give a try on the prince though

I think they have some really great campaign effects, but in battle they are really weak compared to other factions. You have to babysit them.

Tips?

Necrotects can actually be built to duel, check out their skills, even though you will be putting a lot into those capacity points they actually can fight pretty well. Build them well and you can have them not only follow your constructs but fight alonside them to a great extent. Drop a nice weapon on them and a potion of toughness and enjoy them going to town. I often use them alongside a construct to kill lords or heroes.

Tomb Princes have a fantastic Guardian ability to give base phys resist to their lord or other heroes. Put them together with your lord and build them for killing. Running a tomb prince and lord in a pair makes them a very powerful pair and able to hunt opposing lords/heroes with ease. Putting a tomb king or Settra and a Tomb Prince on chariot, is a total riot together. Just infantry destruction duo. Quite fun.

Liche priests are bloody wonderful. I actually really like the lore solection they have.

I've still got to attack Lothern to get the Shadow School, not sure if it's worth it yet. I love that achool of magic though...

Liche priests are amazing

My late game TK army is purely constructs (6 ushabti, 6 archer ushabti, 2 hierotitans, 2 necrosphinx, 2 warsphinx), so I keep a necrotect following my ushabti around to drop a heal on any unit taking too much damage and to boost their capabilities. He's got a lot of upgrades from the melee combat tree so he holds his own in battle quite capably, better yet he's the agent that improves army mobility so he's great for my army running around book collecting.

Tomb princes seem thoroughly mediocre to me, not worth bothering with. Liche priests on the other hand, they're great.

Tomb Princes are great anti large and on chariots, nasty infantry killers. But i say their performance varies highly on how you use them unlike Necrotects and Liche priests where their value is immediately apparent.

Tomb Princes need babysitting to be effective. Luckily Tomb King army isn't that micro intensive.

I take a prince, a naka and a necro. they each have their own jobs and buf their own things. it's looking at them well. id stick to 2-3 because if you play a non-melee lord it could get a little much beyond 3 to micro their stuff.
