Crashes on start campaign [SOLVED]

Game crashes on campaign start, both in Vortex and ME. All mods disabled and unsubscribed, cache integrity verified.
Has someone had this issue and resolved?

EDIT: Solved somehow deleting entire "The Creative Assembly" folder in AppData/Roaming, and/or deleting "data/campaigns" in main game folder, then verifying integrity cache and restoring. I suspect they were those two startpos.esf files in campaigns folder.

Try right clicking TWH2 in your library, go to properties>Local files>Verify integrity of game files...

Wait for it to scan the files and download whatever's missing. Solved. At least that's what I did and it worked.

i did that 3 times including a reinstall, still crashes

I had the same problem, game crashed while loading campaign (around 50%). Verify integrity of game files didn't help. What worked for me was to do a clean new install (uninstall the game, delete the whole Warhammer 2 folder and install it again).

i did manually remove all mods form data folder, too

What I did to get it working - Cut and Move Warhammer 2 Folder from %Appdata to Desktop for backup reasons and later moving savegames back; Cut and Move all Mods from Data Folder to manually made Mods Folder; Unsubscribe from all Mods; Delete Campaign Folder from Data, Delete all Default *.Pack Files; Verify the Game Cache; Redownload the 77 Files (30.6 GB); Added a few files back like the Preferences.Script and Savegames to &Appdata -> Can get into the Campaigns again. The Problem wasn't solved via only new Campaign and Appdata Folder so I had to redownload the packs once and for all without mods.
Now I'm back to see which mods are updated to move back into Data Folder and Resubcribe with the new Update.

Reminds me of how the last Patch 18 from RomeII screwed the game when mods were in place and butchered the game with messed up models when the pack files were patched and there were mods in place while doing so.

are you talking about going into the data folder and deleting all those files manually?

I still can't get into the main menu - it black screens for me after clicking to play, hen displays a Warhammer has stopped working message. Tried everything above including a fresh install of the game (deleting all files manually after uninstalling, then re-downlaoded from scratch). Same problem.

I deleted all the data folder, downloaded it again, and it still crashes... Gonna try to unsiscribe all mods and manually delete them.
