Hmm dont know, but it was not that difficult for me. Took what I wanted from vampire mutineers. Made peace. Itza declared war. I sacked some settlements and they where willing to make peace. Then I Took over the the skaven faction to the south. Now I need to build up a bit, as my army is terrible. Ikit though is crazy powerful.
Earn trust-trust with other mighty clans! Yes-yes! Give gold-coffers to earn loyalty! Scribble-write packs of non-aggression! Yes..yes... Wait-wait. Dig tunnels deeper than theirs! Scurry! Trick them! YES-YES! Never see Doom Rocket until to late! Never trust-trust other lesser clans!

i played twice. all this happens within the first 10 turns.

took out the pirates and secure the province above me. pirates make peace offer but then the lizardmen declared war which is not a big deal.

the skaven below me attacks me as well which is a big deal because i dont have the funds to fight a multi front battle with clanrats

after trying it for a third time the skavens next to me didnt go hostile which made it much easier to kill the lizardmen. so u just have to get lucky or bribe them (or maybe i just got unlucky my previous attempts)

Hopefully not too late to be useful, but figured I'll share anyway as I also had a bit of a "false start" with Ikit. What worked for me was to do the following in the first few turns.

Add the starting Warlock Engineer to Ikit’s army first and then attack the pirate army to the north in turn 1. You have a doom rocket, but you don’t need it. The Jezzails can take out the flying units and do major damage to their lord, the Ratling gunners can quickly kill the exploding enemy units and then focus on other infantry. Charging the Doom Flayer into enemy flanks is devastating… and Ikit himself is very dangerous in a fight. Drop warp lightning on the enemies with both Ikit and his Warlock Engineer as the enemy approaches.

Recruit a second Lord and add the 2 cheapest units to his army in turn 1 as well. This new army will head straight to the settlement to the north (Fuming Serpent) to capture/occupy it once Ikit cleared the way.

In turn two I started moving Ikit to the Skaven Clan (Clan Spittel) to the South… you want that settlement that generates warpstone (Altar of the Horned Rat). You can add a few more units to Ikit’s army, but keep in mind that the Jezzails, Ratling Gunners and Doom Flayer are actually late game units… they are very powerful. Don’t use the Doom Flayer like cavalry, it’s basically a chariot unit… run it through enemies, in the one side of their formation and out the other… don’t leave this unit engaged in melee… you will be shocked how resilient and powerful it is. Use the Jezzails to quickly snipe and kill the enemies lord (to break their leadership) and Ikit has a flamethrower and is very dangerous in close combat once ammo is depleted.

The second Skaven settlement further south might be a bit harder to conquer, but then that minor Skaven clan will be gone and you can work on improving your relationship with the other Skaven.

Recruit more cheap units to your second lord and send him to that unpopulated settlement (Axlotl) to the north-west of the Skaven clan Ikit is fighting… you can have this army join Ikit instead if needed as well.
Once the above mentioned minor Skaven clan has been conquered and you claimed the unsettled city above them as well as the Vampire Coast Mutineers city (Mouth of Qurveza) in the same region… I went for the lizardman to the west, capture the Itza province… four cities here, great for income and creating more armies.

What helps the Skaven is motion, continue to attack enemy armies and cities so you can gain gold and food… I also built some cheap armies, just a lord with 19 units of skaven slaves… cheap to maintain and not worth much in a fight. I use these to raid nearby enemy regions, you won’t make much cash, but you do get food for each army that is raiding. These cheap armies can also overwhelm stronger enemy armies purely due to their numbers. Spread them out and surround attacking enemies.

Also check under rites what you need to built your first DOOOOM! Engineer, get this dude to Lothern ASAP and construct buildings to produce food and steal region income… very helpful.

Legendary Vortex campaign on Ikit here. After securing Fuming Serpent and beating the enemy lord, clear the VC mutineers and secure their province. Your next priority is to take the Altar of the Horned Rat. Research the Ratling infinite ammo when you can.

You'll need smart usage of your weapon teams and your doomflayers here. Break down the gates, have your doomflayers assault the clan rats then drop a doomrocket on top of them when they all bunch up. Your doomflayers will survive the blast and you take out 5-6 units of clan rats. Proceed to move up your infantry and weapon teams and spam warp lightning with Ikit.

Be buddies with Skrolk and recruit a second lord after you secure the province. Use your warlock engineer to spread undercities in the Lizardmen and rush the Warpstone Tractor Beam landmark at the Star Tower so you can unlock weapon team recruitment sooner. When you get the Rite of DOOOM!, go to Lothern and sap their income.

By this time you can get Ratlings, Jezzails and Plague Claw Catapults.
