EDIT: You must complete each Tomb Kings campaign via collecting the Books of Nagash in order to trigger all the movies - a more standard Domination style victory will not suffice.
For Dark Elves (and perhaps Skaven), I think it may be bugged to only unlock the movies if you are playing as Malekith or Morathi (and perhaps Queek or Skrolk) since they were the two initial factions released for the game.
The Common movie is the Skaven low-orbit spaceship that triggered the whole plot.
Note also that if you're a major completionist like myself, if you go into the Quest Battles section of the menu, then you will need to complete them on the Vortex map to have them ticked off (they will still be listed as 4/4 or 3/3 or whatever, just not have a tick next to them), NOT on the Mortal Empires map. So for Lizardmen, that means doing Kroak's battle with each faction on the Vortex map too.
Certain exceptions exist and have done since the first game, and must be completed from the Quest Battle screen rather than in-game with a max-specced Lord and perfect items and army:
1) Balthasar's Staff of Volans, Altdorf vs Imperials. Overall of medium difficulty.
2) Kemmler's Skull Staff vs Bretonnians. This is almost an easy battle.
3) Orion's Silver Spire vs Beastmen. Probably the hardest of them all.*
*This must be completed from the Quest Battle screen because it does not exist in the second game - it was the final campaign battle for the Wood Elf mini-campaign back in the first game, which, along with the Beastman mini-campaign, was not ported over.
I want to do Skaven finally. I'm not sure if Ikit will unlock the movies, but at least I'll get to see them.
That's kind of impressive that TK had so many movies, but all campaigns are same? Collect certain # of books?
I think they did that just to encourage people to try out every faction like that.
