Also worth noting that through all the bad, and all the issues we had then and now, humanity has prevailed and right now in history is pretty much the best time to be alive.
Warhammer? Either you're in a city, or you're beastmen prey, or a Norscan target, and many more things that pretty much makes hamlets and villages nonexistent..
Not sure about Berserk, like things are bad but largely the average person is generally unaffected by some of the larger going ons, things are bad but unless you're Guts and on a boat you're fine.
I stopped reading Berserk before Guts ever got off the boat but didn't whole towns basically get murder-♥♥♥♥♥♥ by demons before Griffith established his bs kingdom, plus there was also that demonic sultan and his army of darkness aaaaand all the small towns we saw plagued by rape-y spirits or cannibalistic demons
Bezerk hands down.
I'm not sure...truth be told it's been a long time since I read Berserk, I'll have to do so again. Either way one of us is right so no harm in finding the truth of the matter.
Though Warhammer Fantasy has Alarielle, which counters a lot of stupidly grimdark teenage edgy fantasy, thank Sigmar for her. Wish 40k would get such a char too...could use some actually good characters to make the setting a bit more, dare I say, believable and less cartoony...
EDIT: Damn it. Wish there was way to add a poll.
