Is there a sandbox mode where I can do everything I want without a story or other restrictions?
I wanna have big battles with many monsters and dragons against hundreds of people.

If yes I will buy this game instantly.

Custom battles, where you can use the races ( whether its dlc that you paid, or base game included races)
There is also a wtf mode (its called the laboratory) where you can make unit bigger, change some settings, increase number of troops, increase damage, and i think there is more feature but i didnt used it a lot.

If you just want to make this kind of battle, yes you can. basicaly you can build an army like you would have done in campagn with infinite money. you have 20 slot including general slot. You can take 1 lord on dragon and 19 dragon, and fight again 4 army of 20x 160 ratslave if you want to.
You can also do 80 dragons( but you can control only 20 of them) against 4 army and so on...

all of that is based on the game without mod, i guess there is many possibilities with the mods but i never used one myself

edit after rewatching the video, in this mode you can play up to 40 units

Well the game is a Sandbox with everything else optional.

Technically yes, but you need Warhammer 1 to unlock it. The main campaign in Warhammer 2 is not a sandbox. You have a defined goal and are competing against others who also have goals.

So this game does only have the campaign and no sandbox mode wtf?????

There are custom battles (and mods) but as already stated you will have to own all the races you want to battle.
Big battles are possible, 4 v 4 x 20 units each with 1-150 "units" in each unit.

I only recommend buying it if it is on 50% sale or below.

Maybe you can play it like an sandbox title, if you install enough mods. But in the core features there is no "sandbox" mode. Everything else like Saint said.

Yeah, like most games, this does not have a sandbox mode. You need the first Warhammer game to access that. That's what the ♥♥♥♥.

Huh? I guess if you consider custom battles sandbox mode then no, you don't need the first game to unlock that.

I think the OP was referring to an actual sandbox campaign. I could be wrong though.

Well technically even with just game 2 you can go pretty much full sandbox. With the main game's 4 races, you'll just have to play 3 story battles down the line(in total/campaign) because the AI will attempt to win the campaign through story rather than through sandbox, and as long as you won those 3 battles the AI will have no way to win through the story.
The game wil ltel you do this do that, but fact is, you can ignore 98% of it, only thing you'll have to do is those 3 battles after like 150+ turns.
So even wh2 alone is almost sandbox for anyone wanting sandbox.

I think he wants an "you can do want you want" mode outside of any rules and limitations.

if thats the case he can just use a trainer or cheat engine

or even just make a mod for more units or use saveparser/ editsf to edit units per army from 20 to 40 like i do

Alternatively, use The Laboratory. Perfect for messing around with.

Then either custom battles or cheating is the way to go.

Guys I just meant custom battles.

I should have said skirmish mode. A mode where I can just spawn any unit I want let's say 200 people and 10 dragons and just let them fight. Nothing more, missions don't interest me.

PLEASE say it's in the game, otherwise im not interested :/

(And I don't want to buy the first game)
