Undead Pirates vs High Elves.
I am really struggling fighting these. All their units seem to be armour piercing and anti large. My normal foot troops hardly have any armour and none of them have shields. Even in the early part of the game it is nearly impossible to beat them.

Are the undead pirates just under powered when facing the high elves?

You're right your ordinary troops are heavily countered in the early game and you won't win a battle of ranged infantry, but you have mortars. Use those extensively--the Elven units have generally low armor in the early game and have tight formations, so your mortars rip them to pieces.

In campaign use the ship abilities. use meat shield units and get grenadiers since grenadiers actually do a lot of damage to infantry

High Elf archers are longer ranged and more accurate than most of your Vamp Coast range options, so you either face tank with monsters/zombies while you dunk on them with magic/artillery, or you rush with dogs and deck droppers.

V Coast ranged is better suited to anti-inf roles than counter skirmishing, with the exception of deck hands, put them on melee, turn off skirmish mode and you have an expendable counter to ranged cav. (they shoot while moving and cannot rout)

How to kill all vampire armies.

Just kill their leaders and then crumble, that's all there is too it!

It's a rough match up. Imo bring a second army to at least wipe the first wave and eliminate their chevronned armies.

Otherwise idk any sure win. My preferred strategy is to play them balanced vs high elves and it helps to have a second army of chaf just to give you breathing room and more room to shoot.

Don't let their cav get to your artillery unless you have depth guard with polearms to counter them.

Use summons and maybe bring a couple bloated corpses in the chaf army to knock off their more expensive and effective infantry like swordmasters and Phoenix guard.

Mournguls and the hero are probs some of the best options for getting on their archers if your artillery isn't enough.

You need to get their ranged units in melee to prevent them shooting. Then use your artillery to pound their melee line so your inferior melee can “win” that fight. Friendly fire is acceptable and should not be avoided. You can use angles and such to limit it somewhat, but accept that you will kill your own units. Once their melee is defeated, surround and finish their ranged. You’ll probably need to outnumber them as well, as you’ll need units to throw away. Most of your units cannot win a 1 on 1 fight with theirs. You need high kill power units like giant or artillery to offset the losses you take from their units being superior. Often, you’ll not succeed, meaning you need additional units to make up the difference.

Don't want to create new thread for a simple question so....Do Tombs King and Vampire Coast DLCs include mini campaign like Wood Elves and Beastman? Or they're just factions pack?

No they don't. I don't want to call them "just faction packs" either though because they include their own win conditions (aside from the vortex) in the Warhammer 2 campaign. So they are somewhere in between a faction pack and the full Wood Elf mini campaign.

They do have very different play styles than most other factions though.

I burned all of Ulthuan to the ground with little effort on Hard as the Vamprites. The key is canons and mortars. Just protect them with gunnery mobs and zombi mobs and watch them rekk the elvs. The elvs have no real counter to mass arty that is well garded.

Spam the AoE healing spell on your front line while your mortars bomb the enemy archers, then swing extra infantry around to surround enemy frontline. Hero can help melee the frontline.

Use summons to slow down the enemy advance. A mob of summoned zombies will get wrecked by HE archers, but those archers need to pause to fire, which means you get a chance to bomb them for longer.

Have a couple bloated corpses in your front line and bum rush the enemy elites as they get close to your frontline.

They are not. Just use your handgunners and pistol deckhands on their armoured units, and tie up the rest with chaff. Tarpit their deathstar units with barebones deckhands. Boom, down go the panzees. Also, arty, as people suggested. And hand bombs. Nothing busts a spear formation better than a good ol' reliable.

I always thought the deck gunners with pistols were a bit useless, I may give them a try as it seems they can divert a melee charge to the main line.

They're like the vampire count zombies. Good for dying and tiring out the enemy.

I mean they do, if the A.I. wasn't dumb as bricks.

Problem is the A.I. is dumb as bricks.
