Mod Load Order
So, I downloaded KMM and ~60 mods and I'm having issues with getting the game to launch. I haven't modified the load order as it appeared when I first launched KMM, I am assuming that I need to change the load order but I'm not quite sure where what should be. I have SFO for instance, and it is nearly at the bottom of the launcher with 600 conflicts, shouldn't it be close to the top? As far as I know it everything should be compatible, compatibility patches downloaded and all that.

The rule is that anything you want overwritten should be at the top.
Stuff at the bottom takes priority in the load order because it will be the last thing that is loaded

Screwing around with the order mods load is generally a bad idea, because modders can make the load order themselves by using special characters (like @ occurs before the rest of the alphabet), and as such it's likely you'll break more than you fix. Likely, but not guaranteed, and so you might get somewhere.

I agree.
The default autosort load order tends to be okay, i've had some success with moving stuff around but its risky.

The issue is that CA ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the launcher months ago and still hasn't fixed it, but they also cut support for the old launcher so all we have now is a launcher that is barely held together and frequently crashes or fails to load mods.
There is that fan made mod tool you can use, that works great.
Says a lot when one person can solve the problem while a triple A company can't even make a start on fixing the problem.

I'm currently using it and still having problems. One thing I've noticed, is that several SFO compatibility patches are higher up than the mods they're supposed to patch, it doesn't seem that would be the correct load order or am I missing something?

depends what the patches are, if they patch scripts they need to be below SFO, if its just for cosmetic or smaller stuff then it shouldn't matter
