Attrition in home province?
Hello

I just started playing TWW2 recently, and i'm absolutely loving it, but something happened last night that's really bugging me and couldn't figure out what went wrong.
I'm in a co-op campaign with my pal, and i'm playing Greenskins, and like turn 20 into the game, after i conquered 2 smaller provinces my troops started dying off from attrition!

Now this is really weird because it's happening in my own territory, i have food, my treasury is +, there were no special events, i haven't been hexed or whatever and i really don't have a clue what's going on. maybe it's because they have low fightiness?

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

If you hover over the attrition icon on your lord/unit's card on the map, it'll tell you where the attrition is coming from (and how much damage it's doing.)

But yeah probably low fightiness, unless your ally is playing the vampire counts and ran down to you and now you have a ton of corruption in the province or something.

Are Orcs immune to the swamp/badlands attrition that is plentiful in the area? I don't think so.
There are certain patches of land that if you hover your mouse over them while holding right button, it will show you the red skull. Quite a lot of it.

If you hover over attrition it'll tell you what's causing it.

In addition to fightiness and terrain attrition, there also might be vampiric or chaos attrition - although this seems a little unlikely,

Doesnt skaven corruption also kill?

Or negative upkeep? But that'd be easy to notice. Yeah, check the skull symbol

Nope.

As mentioned above you really have to keep an eye on the terrain iteself. Tight mountain passes, swamps, particularly rough deserts, snow, all sorts of things can cause attrition that bypasses your replenishment. And as orks they could just be punching eachother to death. ESPECIALLY if as you say you have low fightyness. If you don't fight with orks they'll make thier own fights. Punching is how orks breed.

Yeah, a thing to look out for with Fightiness, is that it is also lowered by suffering a lot of casualties in battle - and really significant numbers of losses can make it drop further than winning the fight itself boosts it up. Still, if there's a settlement you don't want right away, you can always sack it a couple of times to boost your Fightiness WAY WAY up.
