Dead bodies mod?
I noticed that during battles, dead bodies just kinda disappear after a few seconds. I couldn't find any menu options that changed this, which brought me to the workshop. Are there any mods that make it so that dead bodies don't just automatically disappear on the battlefield?
It was one of the subtle things in the older titles that I never really noticed that I cared about until it wasn't happening anymore.
If it doesn't exist, someone should totally make one. I would donate to that mod.

Look better at the options, it's there.

There's a corpse timer under advanced options.
Annoyingly it's bugged and resets back to 30 seconds each time the game is started.

Has never happened to me.

You can just change your settings.

True, it resets every time one launches the game from Steam.

lmao No, not true. I have started the game a few times over the last couple of days and my settings have never changed.

It's true that it happens to me and the other person you responded to. I've even seen it on one of Legend's streams when he expressed his annoyance from the fact that it resets for him as well. It must happen to a number of people but not everybody.

That's fair enough. I was just pointing out that it's not a problem for everyone. Many errors are user related is my point.

Try to edit INI file, then make it read only.

It is true and it is even a known issue that CA has responded to on their forums.

From CA_Vix

Hi all,

Unfortunately this graphics problem is part of a known issue with the latest Nvidia Geforce Experience update.

From an initial test on my own machine (where I do not have Geforce installed) it seems to not be an issue.

If any of you have the time to verify, try uninstalling Geforce and let me know if the issue is still persisting.

All the best,

Vix

Also a workaround from CA_Hamish

Hi @RedWarrior3,

There is a quick work around below that will allow you to keep your corpses right where you want them every time you run the game:

1. Open file explorer and paste the following (without speech-marks) into your address bar: "%appdata%\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer2\scripts"
2. Open "preferences.script"
3. Search for the line "hide_dead_corpses 0; # hide_dead_corpses 0 = low, 1 = medium, 2 = high, 3 = ultra(default), Enable hide dead corpses #"
4. Change the "hide_dead_corpses 0;" to "hide_dead_corpses 3;"
5. Save and close file. Right click preferences.script and set to "read only".
6. Launch game and enjoy the fruits of your merciless labours! Skulls for the Skull throne!

If you are running Geforce experience, please ensure that the check box in the settings "Automatically optimise newly added games" is disabled.

Please note, if you are looking to change any other settings within WH2, then having the preferences.script file saved as read only would not keep any settings you changed. Therefore, simply make the changes in game after reverting the read only change to the file, then repeat the steps above.

Thanks,
CA_Hamish

So just because you don't have a problem doesn't mean one doesn't exist Armata.

He never said it didn't? Just that it wasn't happening to everyone.

If you had said that is reset everytime YOU launched the game I never would have said anything. Instead you decided to say that it resets everytime "one" launches the game, implying that this is something that is widespread. It's not. Clearly this is a rare issue.

Choose your words more carefully.
PuttBlug Nov 13, 2019 @ 5:23am
One, not everyone. One as in the: one of those who have the issue. I choose my words carefully, the problem lies with the interpretation. Also we can't tell how many have that issue, I hadn't noticed it before I saw it on Legend's stream and then I paid attention.
