Chaos Corruption: Untainted
So I started a campaign as Dark Elves and from 100% in a matter of a few turns it's already down to 60%. The rest of my region was also controlled by another dark elven faction I've since eliminated and taken all provinces in the region.

But my Chaos keeps going down, in the break down it says "Untainted Population" and I simply don't know what's reducing my corruption.

I don't have any buildings that give Untainted either. :cgpout:

Help?

err only Morathi needs and generates chaos corruption among dark elves, are you sure you're playing as Morathi? If not, then it's normal that you're getting untainted.

as for the population part every settlement in a province brings one point of one specific corruption. That specific corruption is related to lore and cannot be changed; it's the local population. So a 3 settlement province in a region that is untainted in the lore will have +3 untainted all game long. If you want chaos corruption, you'll just have to generate more than that.

I'm playing the Cult of Pleasure, and yes, it's reducing my public order due to lack of Corruption.

Doesnt Morathi have mages that increase chaos corruption

Build the corruption building. 1 in every province at least. Happens to be your public order building too.

The landmark in your capital is also priceless, as it reduces public unrest caused by lack of corruption.

I don't want to know how to increase it, I want to know what's currently reducing it.

You said it yourself. Local populace.

Zefyris already gave you the correct answer

As has been explained, local population will reduce it. That means it will go down naturally over time until balances at the right percentage. Just mouse over the corruption details and it will tell you. There is also the possibility that some characters are hanging out in your territory and spreading untainted or Skaven corruption.

This should help ;) Don't forget to disable it once you're done with Morathi.

Just build the special building in the capital, that reduces the penalty for it.

What local populace? They are Dark Elves as well. If you are playing Vampire Counts, your "populace" is undead. How can my own population be turning against my corruption?

Dark Elves are no fans of Chaos. Morathi is just the corrupted, dirty, old hag - despite by her lore to be extremely beautiful - that doesn't really notice, how much of a depraved lady, even in comparison to her fellow Dark Elves, she really is. There are, I think, 2 minor Dark Elves factions, who enjoy Chaos corruption. But that also might be a mod I use.

The rest is Untainted.

Oh, right. Clarifying edit:
Settlements have a preferred, permanent, corruption. Whichever corruption it started with, will be there forever. So, you'll have to use buildings/heroes to bring up your own favoured corruption.

Again, zefyris gave you the correct answer. Why do you not just read what others write if you have a question?

Also, DE do not worship Chaos in general. It is Morathi that does that. So the normal populace is not naturally happy praising Slaanesh. And they are not your population, you just occupy them. They are the people that lived there already so you cannot ever change what they worship - thus which corruption the "local populace" spreads.

What zefyris already wrote. Hope it clears that up.

Zefyris gave me an answer relating to general areas, I'm speaking of my home region, which started with Chaos and Chaos only. I didn't occupy it. I started there. And so did the other faction that starts as chaos sharing the same region. If you'd bother to take a very quick look at the faction, you'd see it.

It is the local population which is producing the untainted-As yourself stated in your OP -

" The rest of my region was also controlled by another dark elven faction I've since eliminated and taken all provinces in the region. But my Chaos keeps going down, in the break down it says "Untainted Population""

What part of your own words do you not understand?
You took over regions which are naturally untainted,hence-once again- the local population is producing the untainted.

As folks have explained to you, build or upgrade a corruption building, hire a hero that spreads corruption...have a lord do it.
