You should also have skeleton archers.
Lizardmen are bad at defending walled settlements (they have no true ranged), so do not lure them out, besiege and shoot them over the walls.
And of course, wait for a second army and drown lizards in the endless stream of bones.
Khalida can get huge buffs on missile troops including some of them also apply to casket of soul.
You already start with poison on every troop in her army, which is quite nice.
The start isnt easy with her as the sentinels of Xeti can field quite strong armies for early game and usually push towards khalida with their main forces and not towards Teclis.
I usally end up luring the main army from them into an ambush near one of my cities so that the garrison helps with the fight and I get replenishment right after the battle. After beating the main army this way you can conquer the last city of your starting province. Stay there , let Teclis finish the job. Next target usually should be cult of sotek. This one is an easy expansion war usually since they got a hard time vs all the other factions around there and should be weakened when you arrive there.
After that I usually go for clan pestilence, which can also be quite tough on legendary.
If you can beat clan pestilence the Khalida campaign usually becomes quite a cakewalk afterwards.
Also with Khailda I would recommend not using canopic jars to get the better generals for 200 jars each. You should aim for the 10k gold /800 canopic jar army +1 thing and only should start spending the jars after you got that.
mortal empires khalida starts in lybaras
but in vortex lybaras is not on the vortex map so she starts in lustria near teclis and skrolk guys try and spot the guy who never plays vortex
Khalida on Vortex Legendary is much more difficult than on Mortal Empires.
The Problem with the vortex start location is that Teclis often got pretty big problems as soon as Clan Skryre declares war on him (usually around turn 30), which could lead to Khalida facing an enemy there as well. From my experience , you will need 4 or more armies asap to be able to wage war vs skryre and pestilence at once. Best way to do it fast is to spend 10k (or 8k , not exactly renember) and the canopic jars in addition to research.
I do find that money isnt that big of a problem for khalida compared to the other TK´s, probably because you are constantly at war right from the start...and for Khalida this is the only way to play it right on legendary imo (compared to other TK`s that can afford to sit still and do nothing for quite some time).
