Do Trees Block Missile Fire against Flying Units?

Title. If I fly my units into or behind a forest, will the trees actually make any difference in letting them survive arrows or bullets?

Or does it only matter for ground units?

trees block projectiles that pass through them, depending on angle, arc of weapon, distance etc they might block less for a flyer, but theyre an obstruction to projectiles no matter what.
