Grail pilgrims vs Battle Pilgrims?
Going over some of the wikis I came across this interesting element between these two type of units. While it seems these terms dont appear ambiguous in that they both mean a unit of fanatical worshipers for Brettonian knights. The Wiki seems to greatly distinguish these two units based on veterancy and capability. In that the grail pilgrims are a rabble while the battle Pilgrims at least have some weight and competency to throw around in their fanaticism.

So I guess my point is. Could another unit be made from this distinction? Like the Grail Pilgrims act like a large to mid sized zealous mob equivalent to what the current battle pilgrim is like. While the new unit of battle pilgrims would serve as an upper mid tier sword infantry unit for Brettonia? In that over their journey they gained new skills, discipline or at least better armor and can dish out damage a bit more with less men in the unit?

Sounds like it would just be a slot that people wouldnt really use. HOWEVER... Since this distinction IS here it could be a type of unit i have been asking for for AGES!!! A small unit that deals allot of AI damage to hold the walls in seige matches. Personally i've been asking for foot knights to do this since they were in the trailer and it makes sense with the lore, but frankly this unit would still serve a much needed purpose for bretonnia while still being lore freindly :D

XD Honestly I dont care WHAT unit does this but bretonnia needs a unit for it.

Ya. Brettonia centering around knights is all well and good since that is the lore. But it needs these base infantry units as well at least for the sake of an option to rely upon and giving them that additional endurance presence.

Brettonia also is a feudal society so having a Hierarchy even among the zealots doesn't seem that out of touch. I mean why else is the distinction made if not for that innate purpose? Just like there is a distinction between your average slayers and your giant slayers. Overall I think it could fit into the roster easily enough.

I said this ages ago, grail pilgrims could possibly make for an addition to T2 shrine to provide some incentive to get onto the chain faster along with some other changes, there would also be a possibility of just moving grail reliquae down instead, but these units would be utter garbage, they wouldn't be pointless as battle pilgrims would be a high tier transition but people would just most likely skip over them, they may even need to be a T1 to see any real use.

I mean they could essentially be the equivalent to flagellants in their staying power but lose out on their ability to dish it back? So really falling in the line between a peasant and a veteran battle pilgrim. Where the battle pilgrim gets refined and trades out on that overly zealous do or die nature for a bit more level headed combatant that has more skill to it. Or maybe better equipment from all the battles they have survived.

Well there's is a vacant T2 ... It just might be better if they were leaning more to being garbage for the sake of MP as not to impact it much, the trouble with Bretonnia is on paper the faction is really good in its T1/T2 in terms of options, I find it difficult to make a case for a new unit to be even included within those tiers or something that would just fit in like say skulkers which are a perfect drop in dead end unit, other than me just saying I want new units to fix the tiering issues. Bretonnia in the end just needs it buildings and recruitment sorted out for campaign if that would be properly done, I actually don't think any new units would be needed.

Honestly the update for bretonnia was meh. I mean yay for the garrison, tech, and Alberics Trident, but they vow system just made it take longer to actually get Grail Knights.

Bretonnia needs something to make it worth playing campaign as opposed to the others. Personally i say errantry war (Like an ability declared on a province that either gives you bonuses on said province or gives you chivalry for raiding and razing settlments on it)

XD and by god do they need a new unit or five.
