It would be more important for him to give global bonuses to Grey Seers, such as reduced upkeep in Grey Seer armies and bonus loyalty points on recruitment. He would likely get his own unique Screaming Bell.
A Screaming Bell, over loveable Boneripper? I think not.
I would love to see him have some new versions of some of the skaven magic, ones that have the possibility to go completely crazy. They could either do great things, or next to nothing, or blow up in your face.
Like if he uses that spell that summons a unit of clanrats. It could just regularly spawn a unit of clanrats, but if it messes up, it could spawn either a unit of skavenslaves or a unit of stormvermin, or several units of clan rats.
I mean who wouldn't a Cyborg rat?
I understand, people wanted a thing, and didn't get the thing. We all want cool things in the game, and well, I know these LL's like Ghorst don't appear much at all in lore, some may not even have figures, but honestly I'm kind of happy CA acknowlages their existance.
We knew Tretch Craventail would probabbly be the LL scince the reddit leaks: https://www.reddit.com/r/totalwar/comments/7m2ejm/trench_craventail_and_shadow_warriors_seemingly/
and we knew it wasn't Thanquol thanks to Grace:

Any future Skaven LL's will probabbly be included in DLC packs or FLC, Ikit and Thanquol are among the most highly demanded, but as for Tretch Craventail, I think CA saw a potental in the survivalist Chief Warlord of Clan Rictus.
Tretch Craventail Gives his army Vanguard deployment, which I thought is a pretty big bonus, Vlad Von Carstein also has it, and it was extreamly helpful as it ment his army could close the gap between quicker and minimise losses. Vampire Counts needed it because they had no ranged units whatso ever so the bulk of their army aside from flying monsters just had to take fire and run as fast as possible up to the other side to start attacking.
Skaven has ranged units in the form of it's Warplighting Canons and the Plaugeclaw Catapults, but they are usually recruited later in the game, and rest have to take damage to start attacking when they get up to the opponent, and although they have high numbers, most of them have low morale and die easily, as Skaven should.
Tretch's entire bonus power's are all geared twards ambushes, Which compaired to Queek's direct mele damage, and Skrolks defuffing and disease riddled styles is different and very much welcome.
While Tretch wasn't the LL everyone wanted, he...eh.... almost did a batman refrence there, I like him, and eagerly await the next Skaven LL that joints the team, I personannly hope Ikit, but I'd still be ok with whoever it is, as I said back when Tretch was rumored.
Well boneripper is a modified Ratogre bodyguard Thanquol has, so he's the exception.

I know that is the End times, but he should be able to use him as a mount.
I know that his skills are going to be very skaveny, but that's not the point.
The point is that he's just some minor character who's being put into the game instead of much more well known characters who should've been the next skaven LL.
Oh, damn, look at that thing! I stopped following Fantasy battle around the End Times. Kind of was right to, considering Gee Dubs threw Warhammer Fantasy in the garbage and made "Warhammer 40k, but not". But that's nerdrage for another conversation topic...
So, I stand corrected.
Heh, no worries, frankly Boneripper could be used in many ways, Thanquol actually had 13 of them, he had a pretty miserable track record of loseing them. The most well known is number 7, who was number 1 reanimated by Skryre.
