Why does it say that Dwarfs are defensive?
So im on my 400th turn and dwarfs have made settlements from all my ruins (warriors of chaos) in the old world. They have like 110 settlements now and they are trying to capture Lothern in the new world. They are also trying to capture naggarond. I dont understand it says that the dwarfs are defensive but obviously not lol when they have captured like 60% of the entire world.

I think it says that when a lot of their settlements get attacked and so on

Well it doesnt mean they are isolationists like Wood Elves. Ever heard of War of the Beard and old Dwarven grudges against elves?
still theyre more offensive than the beastmen

Beastmen cant capture settlements, just like WoC. Though i understand you. I hate Dwarves for beeing so stubborn, always the last to take out and it lasts ages....

I have seen the Wood Elves run rampant all over leaving their isolation to be but a myth, actually when the Woodies get rolling they are more evil than Chaos in Mortal Empires. Never seen the AI taking them on at their own turf.

I have seen the Dwarves go both ways, being annihalated by Vamps+Orcs or simply conquering everything.

The humans don´t tend to fair to well if I don´t help them, can´t remember their general description about aggression.

Never seen the Skaven rise to power, I have seen them getting very strong but usually everyone decides at one point or another that they have seen enough rats for one day and they get wiped, even the vamps join in on the vermin control.

The Dark Elves have the Norscan problem and they most often fail to cope with it propperly if the AI is handling things.

The High Elves are a mixed bag, most often rolling but I have seen them held to very little on quite a few occasions.

In general yes, I would say the Dwarves are the winners, they tend to conquer a lot of territory and are a pain once they get going.

I think is bug, Dwarves win every battle in auto resolve even if you (or AI) use high tier units.
yea on my first woc run, dwarfs were dominated by counts and carstein. second run dwarfs dominated, third, same. theyre more cancer than lothern :(
Dwarves get insane bonuses to auto-resolve battles when defending in general. Maybe that's what the defensive means?

That may be the case.

Sounds like a very interesting campaign, seeing as how every one of mine the Dwarfs do nothing but sit around. They'll consolidate sure, but never really go conquering, let alone crossing oceans to do it.

In game 3 when they get issues to the east of them too things will be interesting there.

Dwarfs always dominate in mortal empires. They are the ultimate super power and the only one able to contest them is the player.

Thank god though the devs are addressing the Dwarf issue.

You need to attack the Dwarves early and often to wipe them out. If you don't attack them in the early game, then by mid/late game, they'll be really hard to control.
GRUDGIN.
