Yes you need to own the Hunter & the Beast to be able to recruit Dread Saurians.

It got buffed. It's pretty awesome now. In fact, Everchosen tournament it was used a few times to great effect, winning all of its games it was present in.

People assume you just run it to the middle of the field and let it fight.
It has excellent mass and speed. Hit the edges and chew on the back line. You know, the ones shooting at you.

When it was first released it was terrible and was usually dead or close to it by the time it got to the enemy lines.
