Good use for Chillwind?

I've tried against blobs, I've tried against lines of units, I've tried against cavalry for the frostbite slowing.. It seems like this spell does next to nothing, sort of feel the same way for the blade vortex as well.

lol. i dont know what you are playing with, but cerainly not with the dark elf spells.

Chillwind tickles anything, even blobbed up with max skill points. The vortex does damage, when it doesn't fly away more than any other vortex spell, but it lasts for about 5 seconds and that's not enough time to do any real damage for how much it costs.

Chillwind is good imo. Freeze blobs so they crawl against your arrow fire.

it's probably some obscure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ modifier like unit armor or unit mass that dictate how much damage it does like in the last game, I think in the case of chillwind it's armor but i can just as easily be wrong since the info on it isn't ingame yet, maybe once modding becomes possible.

All I can say for sure is that i've used both those spells with tons of damage giving my lord 300-400 kills on large units.

chillwind is also great to break up formations, bladewind for all those blobs on your frontline. dont give a damn about own casualties, i am a dark elf after all.

What do the squiggly lines mean at the front of the chill wind targeting icon? Is it just for looks, or does that part of the spell do more damage or something?

Chillwind has been absolutely devastating every time I've used it, but then again I've only used it against clanrats in my current Dark Elf game.

i like how wind blast is 10x stronger than chillwind despite chillwind looking more devastating from a visual standpoint

chillwind is almost worthless
