Twin tailed comet *spoilers*
Is a Skaven invention?! I'm not hugely familiar with warhammer lore but I have read some and don't remember any mention of this. Was this part of lore invented for this game and is it the same "comet" we saw on the old world?

The Twin Tailed comet is part of the Lore of the Warhammer universe and is a very importent sign to many of the races. The Mordhime rule books had large sections of flavor text devoted to the comet as its appearance signified the start of the end times.

Here is some basic infomations http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Twin_Tailed_Comet

the games take the plot and the lore and use them in a different way. For example you can waste mr edgy (arachon) in WH1

Nah, the Spaceship was a "fake comet" there still is the real one, it was a plan by the Greyseers to disturb the winds of magic so that the Skaven can control the vortex and bring the Great Horned Rat to the mortal plane.

It was entirely invented by CA to be a key part of all the factions race to the Vortex, but I love the Skaven Space Program, shows just how inventive they are.

I love the idea of it too but it's kind of strange that all these amazing world events that are foretold by a comet started happening *like the return of Archeon* but it's not even a real comet...

The regular comet isn't, this one is special

Wow just wow. CA doesn't have the liberties to change the lore and your ignorance is painful. Having said that, GW has ending fantasy so between 8th edition, end times and after is up for changes.
Skaven are beings of chaos but don't follow the ruinous powers, that's it really. Why would you think the comet has anything to do with the Skaven?

Hate it when people know nothing of the lore. Only a select few on this thread with any sense. Like "Scrotum Scratcher" said Ratmen don't exist!

Necromancy is a forbidden practice.

Did you even played that game in vortex till the end or did you necro just for some irony? Like when you say that he doesn't know anything when he says ratmen don't exist.

But, Ratmen don’t exist. Urban legends told by Tilean merchants to sell charms and baubles to superstitious peasants, that’s all.
