VERY Hot. (Love game)
Any way to reduce the heat on the CPU/Graphics cards?

Been experiencing the same thing. Makes my room a sauna....

Lower Settings

Increase Fan Speeds

Clean It

Get Better Airflow

Watercooled

ETC...

Can't speak for the other guy but I'd bet money that my GPU is nicer than yours lol
Same experience, rig runs it well 60fps on high settings but at huge heat, and lowering settings to low AND resolution does not improve the cpu temps or the gpu load which sits at 100% on the campaign map. This is an optimisation problem, not a hardware problem.

980ti goes to 90-100% useage and around 80 degrees on 1080 lol, fps is fine.

Wouldn't be a TW game without a poorly optimized launch doe.

Massive heat output at 1440p with a 1080 ti. Runs pretty alright tho..apart from DX12 being stuttery...

My CPU ran too hot yesterday and crashed my rig with it, but gave all the dust from the radiator and fans a hoovering and it is now running fairly cool. It does certainly run hot though that is for sure.

mine reache 80 degree max but my watercooling can fall it to 60 to 70 degree anyway a cpu can handle a lot of heat if the CPU reach 120 degree begin to think to close the game and let it cool before you start the game again

and guys try to take one of my advice bring your tower to your PC shop and ask if they can to clean the dust inside the tower (or do it yourself if you know how to do it) that cost me 30 $ CAN to clean it (with my work i not have time to do it myself) and i do it every 4 or 6 month and my precious PC is happy after and that spare me some outrageous repair if the heat blow my component

I have the same overheating problem with an AMD Radeon GPU, but the interesting thing is:
Warhammer 1 campaign works absolutely fine for me, but in the campaign of Warhammer 2 my GPU gets so damn hot. Even on lower settings than in Warhammer 1.

Therefore, I think it is really an optimization problem as already mentioned above.

they changed to intel to before CA get partnered with AMD
Download MSI Afterburner (works with any GPU) then find the fan curve and just drag the curve about so that the fans get a bit faster at lower temps, they way you can keep your card nice and cool. 1080Ti playing the game at 1440p in Ultra never gets above 65degrees C. As for your CPU, if you are using the stock cooler make sure it is free from dust and dirt build up and if it is still throtteling back due to overheating then consider getting a new bigger cooler if you know how to fit them. You will need thermal paste and watch a few youtube videos on what to do. Also make sure your case is getting enough fresh air from outside the case into it.

use dx 11.

running nice and using most of your GPU is the opposite of poorly optimized.
