Why isnt throgg chaos?
As many lore complaints as Ive seen I am surprised Ive never seen this mentioned. I would love to recreate my table top army of trolls and dragon ogres but for some reason throgg isnt considered chaos

All trolls are inherently creatures of Chaos, but no amount of mutations has managed to cure their stupidity and animosity. Throgg is smarter then the average troll, he plans to cause a new ice age and would see the lands of Men despoiled in the name of the Dark Gods, but his goals are slightly different then the ones the Warriors of Chaos have.

Yup unlock the main chaos forces he wants to rule, not destory the world. He is pretty unique for a troll Once upon a time when he was just happy with raiding and eating he would have been more of a fit for chaos, but him eating noble flesh gave him bigger plans!

Have to blame Games Workshop here, they made Throgg, not CA.

Cause he's Throgg/ He ain't got time for chaos, he must have to eat 2-3 humans a day.

I should point out that this is the same universe where eating enough troll flesh makes you regenerate like a troll as well as immune to hunger (your last meal constantly regenerates in your stomach) - and where enough belief can literally overcome fact.

Throgg ate the brains of nobility, therefore he began to adopt their aristocratic concepts and ambitions. Simple. :)

You have been trolled, he was actually part of Norsca the entire time!

? Throgg is a Chaos lord in 8th. It's CA that made Norsca a stand-alone faction and gave Throgg and Wulfrik to them.

Exactly, Throgg was made by games Workshop. CA does change a few things around in the game here and there, but the lore is mostly intact.

So thanks for the responses but from the responses I assume no one knows the lore for throgg. He aligned himself with chaos in the end times and literally died serving chaos. His intentions may be his own he was very much still a chaos lord.

In the table top he is also part of the chaos army and in the lore he recruits dragon ogres and shaggoth to his army. So he is definitely chaos contrary to popular belief

There is no real end times in this game, we know the lore but have to keep in mind CA was given leeway to do things. This verison of the TRoll king they went with his plans to rule and bring about an ice age. You know the part of the lore where he is dinning on noble flesh and gets a bright idea to do things different from other trolls

The other note to make in this game(Game 1 only atm), he can align with chaos has norsca when the invesion shows up or declare himself the everchosen

Cool (pun intended).

CA focused on Throggs desire to eat people and start a new iceage, so while he is inherently Chaos, he's seperate from the WoC and kinda just does his own thing unless he is killed, joins Chaos by his own will, or Wintertooth is taken over by Wulfrik.

For the most part, CA made some slight changes cause they thought it was neat, Norsca proabbly needed a second LL, didn't see any complaints about it scince the DLC came out in August, but *shrugs* people complain about anything.

I know people who just pretend the end times never happened, and I sort of understand why, as far as TW:W is concerned it didn't, assumeing you didn't make it happen.

Throgg fights for Throgg, not for Chaos.

But I do share the grief of not being able to create the "Mosntorus Horde" of the likes one can on table-top.

For all intents and purposes you can pretty much just consider Norscans the "Chaos-lite" faction.

In the end, Norscan efforts are aligned directly with the goals of Chaos. I guess it does suck for people who really wanted Throgg with the traditional WoC roster, though. Maybe there will eventually be a mod for people who want to put Wulfrik and Throgg back into the WoC lineup.

I was thinking maybe it would be interesting if game 3 campaign could have some sort of feature to allow all the different forces of Chaos (Beastmen, Norsca, WoC, and Daemons) to all confederate with eachother, creating a true Chaos Undivided army.
