All trolls are inherently creatures of Chaos, but no amount of mutations has managed to cure their stupidity and animosity. Throgg is smarter then the average troll, he plans to cause a new ice age and would see the lands of Men despoiled in the name of the Dark Gods, but his goals are slightly different then the ones the Warriors of Chaos have.
Have to blame Games Workshop here, they made Throgg, not CA.
Throgg ate the brains of nobility, therefore he began to adopt their aristocratic concepts and ambitions. Simple. :)
Exactly, Throgg was made by games Workshop. CA does change a few things around in the game here and there, but the lore is mostly intact.
In the table top he is also part of the chaos army and in the lore he recruits dragon ogres and shaggoth to his army. So he is definitely chaos contrary to popular belief
Cool (pun intended).
CA focused on Throggs desire to eat people and start a new iceage, so while he is inherently Chaos, he's seperate from the WoC and kinda just does his own thing unless he is killed, joins Chaos by his own will, or Wintertooth is taken over by Wulfrik.
For the most part, CA made some slight changes cause they thought it was neat, Norsca proabbly needed a second LL, didn't see any complaints about it scince the DLC came out in August, but *shrugs* people complain about anything.
I know people who just pretend the end times never happened, and I sort of understand why, as far as TW:W is concerned it didn't, assumeing you didn't make it happen.
But I do share the grief of not being able to create the "Mosntorus Horde" of the likes one can on table-top.
In the end, Norscan efforts are aligned directly with the goals of Chaos. I guess it does suck for people who really wanted Throgg with the traditional WoC roster, though. Maybe there will eventually be a mod for people who want to put Wulfrik and Throgg back into the WoC lineup.
I was thinking maybe it would be interesting if game 3 campaign could have some sort of feature to allow all the different forces of Chaos (Beastmen, Norsca, WoC, and Daemons) to all confederate with eachother, creating a true Chaos Undivided army.
