Plague claw catapult or canon?
Witch one is your favourite and why?

So far i feel like the plague claw catapult is way better since it has an arc on the missiles, making it possible to shoot over walls and more viable close range when shooting over your infantry.

The only advantage i see for the canon is that it is deadly accurate, making it possible to shoot flying units.

Different tools for different jobs.

Plague claws do well against masses of infantry but skaven tend to win a sheer 'numbers' game and have plenty of tools to deal with elite regiments like warpfire throwers.

Lightning cannons fill a gap not easily otherwise handled. Killing numerically few (or individual) targets with a lot of hitpoints. The only other tool in the army that does that well are globadiers and their range means that by then its already tearing into your army. Better to kill it (mostly) dead before it ever gets the chance.

So if I have to pick one? I choose the cannon.

A bunch of Warplightning Cannons can destroy even the most powerful monsters and the lords rideing them with its range and armor-peirceing damage, Skaven use them to make enimies like Mazdimundi on Zlaaq think twice about apoaching the armies of the under empire.

The Plauge-claw Catapult as you mentioned is good for seiges and against flying.

between the two, I like the Cannon a bit more cause it's handy for killing monsters that would otherwise wrek havoc.

Cannons as monster killers and counter artillery, catapults for infantry masses. Idealy you need both.
