Mods in Multiplayer Campaign [SOLVED]
My friend and I are trying to set up a co-op campaign with mods, but we were running into an issue where it said our game versions are different even though we use a private collection to ensure we both have the same mods. After some testing, we've discovered that if both of us have even one mod installed, we cannot play together. I'm not seeing any other posts about this, so are we the only ones?

UPDATE: Apparently if you have the game running with any compatibility settings enabled, it causes any installed mods to not register only when trying to join a multiplayer campaign. Go figure.

Bump? Come on, surely SOMEONE else is having this problem?

I've had that issue with only some mods. Myself and my friend are playing modded co-op game right now but I had to disable one of the mods I was using that increased how many skill points you gained per level.

I'm not sure if it's because it was a manually added mod or not but so far by just using mods from the workshop I haven't run into any issues.

I hope you can figure out what's wrong.

Make sure you are also using the same directx version.

We waited for the workshop, so all of ours were from there. We never did figure it out and eventually just gave up and hoped the issue would sort itself out in a few updates...

That doesn't effect anything without mods so I don't see why that would change anything with them. As it so happens, I tried that regardless, but I'm curious as to why you suggest that.

Because I was having the same issue you are having in co-op until my friend and I both set the game to dx11.

Was this with or without mods?

UPDATE: Just double checked again before we quit for the night to make sure, but it didn't do anything.

Have you tried removing mods and just seeing if you are able to join? Like I was saying earlier, I had issues with certain mods so maybe removing some and then seeing if you can join each other until you find the culprit.

Might be worth a try.

I made a simular post yesterday and nothing has come up yet on mine. Yours had a bit more attention to it, but I still have this problem and this is definitly not just one mod that does it I tried multiple single mods nothing works. but disabling all mods and suddenly it works again

Everything's fine as soon as all the mods are unsubbed from the workshop.

This.

You probably don't have the same mod exactly or same version of it.

I play a coop campaign with a friend every day and we run about 5 mods no problem.

When you go to the mod page in the workshop copy the page adress and send it to your friend so he goes to the exact same page.

As I already said in the first post, we keep a private collection that we sub to in order to ensure we have the same mods, and never had this problem once in the last game.

Ok so like I said earlier no mods works with mods didn't. I got it working for my friend and me by for us both: unsubbing, uninstalling again, installing and then subbing again. I hope it will work for you too. Just unsubbing and subbing again did not work at all for us.
